well they have a high catch rate for legendaries, only 30. compared to Giratina with a rate of 3. they were made to be easy to catch. which makes it even more funny how long it took Speezy to catch Dialga or Palkia

I swear back when I knewst to play this, when I tried to catch legendary pokemon, I had to make it have 3% maximum hp while paralysed and it still took at least 20 ultra balls to catch it... Did this happen to anybody else?

Legendaries are still hard to catch with a super low catch rate, pointcrow was just super lucky in this case 😅 and EZ had to restart for like 15 minutes straight to catch it.

Protip: Ultra Balls are garbage in gen 4+. You have so many better options that they aren't worth considering.

I did a speedrun of a Pokemon Emerald map randomizer that I already completed (I must defeat every Gym Leader in order, every Elite Four in order, and the Champion), so I know where everything is. It still took me 2 hours and 13 minutes to beat. It took me about 10 minutes to find an Abra on Route 116 for Teleport, and the champion battle against Wallace also took about 15 minutes, since I kept having to soft reset. I was using a Lugia that I caught with a Master Ball.

Sometimes this just is impossible. For example, on my run Candice's gym was a house at the base of Stark Mountain. I could either get there normally with Rock Climb (impossible), or get there by beating Lucian to use his exit (breaks the order), or get caught in Heatran's cutscene and automatically teleport to the base of the mountain.
