Ever notice how when June hits that high note in the official video the camera cuts away from her? What a pleasure to see her sing it here. Absolutely astonishing how AWESOME they were live. Best live performers ever, this really is slightly better than the album track. FIRE, FIERCE, ENERGY POURING, JUNE AMAZING PER USUAL BUT WITH...I dunno how to describe it...VERVE? Something EXTRA. What a concert. What a great song. I dared her to live again several months ago. Who knows, maybe it'll miraculously work. God? You listening? Does anyone have a time machine? Can anyone either send her here, or me there? Is there any sexier female vocalist in pop history than June? Any more versatile? She had the powerhouse funk like a slugger batting cleanup, and the angelic grace of an Olympic figure skating champion. She may just represent the love of my life, and I may never meet her, not unless I slip into an alternate dimension or something. I adore her. I worship her. Thank GOD they were so prolific. So much to watch. And in these videos, thanks to her epic LIVELINESS, she will never really die. But again...time machine anyone? Please?

Ruth, June, & Anita - when they transcend what other "girl groups" do, you know their names, much like Patti, Maxine, & LaVerne or Diana, Mary, & Florence. These ladies could do anything from R&B, Pop, Country, Jazz, etc. The only thing left is the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame (if anyone there has any sense or taste).

The 4 people who disliked this are either people whose parents never took the time or responsibility to expose them to the classics or wanted Don Bustany to make a goddamned concerted effort to come out of a record that wasn't a fucking uptempo record every time Casey Kasem did a goddamned DEATH dedication!!!!!!!

Little bit of trivia: The Pointer Sisters were the backup vocalists on Chicago VII and provided the background vocals for Robert Lamm's solo album "Skinny Boy". That was back in 1973/74, so it goes to show that maybe the public didn't know them, they were recognized and their talent was already obvious.

I love, love, love The Pointer Sisters! I've had so many great times to their music just like my all time favorite Donna Summer...I sobbed for 3 days when Donna died....A new album is being released Oct. 22 with incredible remixes of Donna's songs plus a brand new, never released, out of this world power house vocals and dance song as only Donna Summer can sing along with Georgio Moroder! The first single remixed by Chromoe was released last week and already at number 6 on a lot of charts!
