Here's a detail- While Heavy acts more realistically during the firefight at the start, everyone else around him still moves mechanically like they do in the game (particularly notable with scout moving left and right)- matching with the Heavy being the most aware too: the rest just being ignotant mindless bots. Or it was just easier to give them stock animations.
@tobyret93024 жыл бұрын
This is Kostamoinen and this animation fo Saxxy. You're right about bot theory i think.
@Victor-0564 жыл бұрын
There's an easily missed detail in this as well. Look at the Red Spy he spared. His movements after bumping into heavy are not mechanical... And when Heavy aims his shotgun, Spy _Drops his Knife._ It's also notable that when Heavy left, we're not shown the Spy's face or what his motions are as he runs off. This means only one thing... Heavy is not alone.

mrcomp we need to have a game plan to givethis guy a memory wipe. mrcomp, you fly above him to serve as a distraction. Stickmaster5000, kneecap him to slow him down. Spy the was just offered mercy by the heavy, break his legs. By that point, me and some others will hold him down so the spy can give him a concussion. From there we take him to the administrator and she'll have someone give him a memory wipe.

Those who take the game seriously and really get into it, and those who realise it's just a game and decide how they like to have fun? That's what I get from it. Regardless, good job, a nice narrative without being too self-serious and enough humor mixed in to flesh out it's style. Well made, and well done.

Two years later, and I cannot _BELIEVE_ we all missed this. When the Red Spy ran into the Heavy, he did two things no class can do in-game... One, he _Stumbled,_ and Two... _He dropped his Knife._ In TF2, you cannot drop your weapon until Meet Your Match, and even then, it was to swap your weapon for a similar weapon. This gives a BIG Significance to Heavy Sparing the Red Spy... As Heavy realized that he's not truly alone in this Tale of Existential Crisis. He spared a member of his Kin. It's likely why he was able to accept his existence at the end. He's not truly alone.
@ravenwashere177610 ай бұрын
I noticed that too! The spy holds his hands up as well, something that you can't do in game that I'm aware of, except maybe as a taunt. Heavy seems to notice this and backs off. I wish we could see how the spy went on this journey too.

This is really good. The spy part was the best part; the foreshadowing from the engineer, the way that the expressions show so much emotion, the way that the lower angle shows how solemn the heavy is and how confused and scared the spy is.
