This is wonderful. I love that series and wish it was still on. I can't even pick out a favorite, they were all so good. David Suchet was absolutely awesome.

As always, compliments to David Suchet for doing a fine job as poirot! 100% my poirot. But Hugh Fraser's rendition of Hastings is not to be ignored, he did such a good job of playing a character who is supposed to have not one intelligent thought in his mind, a blank expression and falls in love with a different woman every other day :')

I like the scene where Miss Lemon is talking to a bunch of boys asking for a “penny for the guy”. I’m American, had to look that one up. I think that’s also the show where Miss Lemon loses her keys and stays distraught all weekend. :)

You shouldn't have missed the Poirot's Mantra: The question is can Hercule Poirot possibly be wrong. But I'm right. Always I am right. It is so invariable. It startles me. And now it looks very much I may be wrong, and it upsets me. And I should not be upset because I am right. I must be right, because I'm never wrong.

I see you included the crocodile episode, but what I most like about that episode is the cab ride from the airport, where the tail progressively encroaches into Poirot's face. I also the Chinese laundry episode, where Miss Lemon tries out some pidgin English suggested by Hastings: _Him collar no very good starchy._

Poirots green eyes are mentioned in Agatha's books a lot and and it kinda sucks that they are brown here

David suchet portrays poirot so well that in some scenes his eyes look greenish.
@mais_oui23012 жыл бұрын
@@flowerfleur8105 he was wearing contacts. They're clearly visible at all close-ups. But of course even the greenish lenses cant cover the brown colour so they only give a little greenish shade.

I'm as big as poirot without needing the fat suit. I'm the same height as him, 5'7", and I weigh like 17 stone for real. David Suchet was actually heavy in the adult movie Sunday from the year 1998. But he lost it all again in about 1 second. In the book Poirot was supposed to be only 5'4" and 20 stone and fairly ugly, with pockmarked skin. And he wasn't funny. He was miserable af. The show version is basically completely different from the book version.
@suzie_lovescats4 ай бұрын
That’s how you see the character but David Suchet read all the novels and this is how he sees the character. It’s all a matter of interpretation.
