Richie Kotzen has an amazing solo catalog. Plus his stuff with Winery Dogs and Smith/Kotzen is great s as well. How he’s not selling out stadiums everywhere is beyond me.

The guitarist Richie Kotzen is a great guitarist. He only recorded Native Tongue album with Poison. He actually just released an album with Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith called Smith Kotzen. They both play guitar, bass and sing. Richie even plays drums on half the album. He also has a bunch of solo albums, and he's recorded with Mr Big. He sings and plays guitar in Winery Dogs with Billy Sheehan on bass (David Lee Roth, Mr Big, Sons Of Apollo) & Mike Portnoy on drums (Dream Theater, Winery Dogs, Neal Morse Band, Neal Morse, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, Sons Of Apollo, Metal Allegiance, Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob, Liquid Tension Experiment, OSI, etc).

The truth is, Native Tongue was - musically speaking- their masterpiece. It’s just that Kotzen couldn’t stay in the band after what happened between all of them. CC, may not be the guitarist that RK is, but at least he’s their friend and they can trust him. And CC is awesome in his own way.

Native Tongue is the best album Poison ever did, even though it wasn't a success. Timing was wrong, right in the middle of the Grunge era. But Richie Kotzen lit a fire under each of their asses and the band improved.

Richie Kotzen is one of the best out there. Plus he's a great singer. He also played in Mr. Big on an album or two. Also check out the Winery Dogs- Richie Kotzen, Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy. Also check out Richie's solo stuff. There's plenty to choose from.

1993 saw them with firehouse and damn Yankees and soon new guitarist richie was fired for sleeping with rikkis girlfriend. Unrated album in my opinion.

Richie is sexy, Richie is talented, but, even back then, i still did not like him, then later on, found out he slept with Rikki's wife, i just hated him even more, but, i will not ignore his talent, i will just never be a fan
