In this moment in time, we need these words to have it all make sense. Sometimes I believe we have these different ages of trials and tribulations because this is what mankind believes is wanted by the masses or it is what they want to push on all of us. I'm standing by in 2024 to keep by any means, the life I believe in..

If you knew what your settler colony, along with the one just as bad to your south, was really up to in their wars, you wouldn't hold too much respect. Be more mindful with whom you hold in high regard. Maybe when you become older and a littler wiser, your respect for people will be re-directed to those far more deserving of your respect.

I second that. I met a gentleman at my job that told me he fought in Vietnam. I thanked him for his Service but he refused to accept it. He told me his job was to go in and eliminate all the women and children. That broke my heart you could clearly tell that haunted him clean up to his dying day. I almost started crying in front of him because I knew that's not what he wanted to do but that's what he was told to do. RIP Barry and thank you for your service

This band is a multifaceted multi generational group. With the struggles they have had they somehow come out giving 1000 percent I am so glad to have grown up with them. Their music saved my life I was home less at 13 with 2 changes of clothes a Walkman and a few cassettes and everyday started with cry tough and it got me up whether it be in the rain or a friends car and helped me look at life as something to work for. All these years later I managed to make something of myself and I have to thank them for lighting the fire for me that still flames today. I don't regret my life and they helped me in a way only time could showed me. 💯 I am lucky to have had that I don't know what I would be if I didn't have the right energy to choose my path. But I know that their joy and love for music. Saved my life. Sounds silly to some but here I am and as long as they are I think we can all agree even in this downtime like the message in this song says. We gotta cry to, to get what we want even if all want nothing but a good time. Just never give up. Wherever you are in life what ever gets you through the day. Be proud. They didn't give up and even after the decades they gave us their best and the message is clear. Life is short don't miss a moment wasting energy on the things that bring you down or can'tcontrol. Peace and passion rock strong!

"In a time I don't remember, in a war he can't forget" that line hits like a ton of shit bricks to the nuts everytime I hear it. As a vet myself, I feel the pain in that line so hard.

@josephwilson6884 I am so sorry for the suffering and pain you feel inside. Please learn how to believe in yourself: you are a brave and courageous man because you fought for our country. I can't imagine how it feels, but it makes me cry to see Vets who are in emotional pain. You NEED TO BE PROUD OF YOURSELF! You Sir, are among the most appreciated people in our country. Thank you for your service. The real heroes are Veterans.❤

Because it's not music anymore. The record companies go after the money. And now days there's younger people think that rap is music. And I have always said that rap is not music not even close. I really thought green day was going to be the band to save the younger people from that DUMBASS SHIT rap but they just disappeared. I saw green day as really rock and roll they remind me of THE WHO they were that good.

Seems nobody knows how to write music from the heart, it's all about the money machine turning with no heart or soul behind it. Miss the music I grew up with. Feeling, soul, heat, touching millions of people. Good Ole days. Sigh.

His solo from Nothing but a good time is one of the best solos in rock and all his fills are perfect for it. He was always overlooked for the speed guys that were popular back then. I don't even remember him ever getting an interview in a guitar mag.
