In this moment in time, we need these words to have it all make sense. Sometimes I believe we have these different ages of trials and tribulations because this is what mankind believes is wanted by the masses or it is what they want to push on all of us. If you knew what your settler colony, along with the one just as bad to your south, was really up to in their wars, you wouldn't hold too much respect. Be more mindful with whom you hold in high regard. Maybe when you become older and a littler wiser, your respect for people will be re-directed to those far more deserving of your respect.

When this song first came out I was just a teen getting drunk with friends and rocking out. Now that I’m older I can’t listen to this song with out getting teared up. Not just because I understand it more and the words hold true today but all the friends i’ve partied with that I’ve lost along the way. This song brings me back to a time when things were simpler. Those are Memories I will never forget.

I was in high school when this song came out around the time of Desert Storm. A few years later I was serving in the Army in the famed 24ID from that war. My section Sargent was a vet of that war and while drinking one night this song came across the radio. He told me a story about coming home from the war a Vietnam vet greeted them coming off the bus while this song played. Everyone on the bus adopted this song as their own.

This band is a multifaceted multi generational group. With the struggles they have had they somehow come out giving 1000 percent I am so glad to have grown up with them. Their music saved my life I was home less at 13 with 2 changes of clothes a Walkman and a few cassettes and everyday started with cry tough and it got me up whether it be in the rain or a friends car and helped me look at life as something to work for. All these years later I managed to make something of myself and I have to thank them for lighting the fire for me that still flames today. I don't regret my life and they helped me in a way only time could showed me. 💯 I am lucky to have had that I don't know what I would be if I didn't have the right energy to choose my path. But I know that their joy and love for music. Saved my life. Sounds silly to some but here I am and as long as they are I think we can all agree even in this downtime like the message in this song says. We gotta cry to, to get what we want even if all want nothing but a good time. Just never give up. Wherever you are in life what ever gets you through the day. Be proud. They didn't give up and even after the decades they gave us their best and the message is clear. Life is short don't miss a moment wasting energy on the things that bring you down or can'tcontrol. Peace and passion rock strong!
