During the summer she pulls his boat to the Delaware River. I called you brother because I spent 6 years in US Army signal corp ( old school cell phones LOL ) but I got a carrier out of it, 43 years now in the communication industry. I may have to retire the old girl and move into a Jeep, I've owned two Jeeps so far. Thanks again brother and Thank you and your son for your service to our Country.

We are looking to do an epic Utah trip in Apr 2020 that will begin in Southern Utah and work up to Moab where we will spend about a week. We live in Colorado and while it is beautiful here, nothing compares to the beauty and wheeling opportunities of Utah. Your videos and commentary are always awesome regardless of where they are done from. Great job! When I retire for the final time in a couple of years, we are looking to do some long term overlanding. Ever consider such a thing?

Studied this video before hitting this trail today. I did it last year in a 2dr JL Sport S, and it has a 2” lift and 33s, and it was tough. This year I’m in a 4de JLU Rubicon, same 33” tires but the standard 1” lift from the factory, and it was tougher. At the 1 mile mark I saw a Park Ranger coming downhill. I asked about trail conditions. He told me the UTVs keep ripping the trails up more and more every year. He was right. The three tough spots I remembered seemed worse than last year. Today was the first time I ever had to stack rocks. I love this JLUR, but I really need to get 37s, a 3-4” lift, and 4.88 gearing. It’s my daily driver, yes. And I do a 7,000 mile tour every year, yes. But dang it I need to keep up with the Jones’!

Son and I are fan's of you channel. He has a 2015 Rubicon JKU with 2.5 inch lift, mine is 2012 Rubicon 2 door 4 inch lift. I like the Ham Radio communication also, been one for years. Any of your guys know how to get the noise generated by the digital/led lights out of the radio. Lights were in the jeep when I bought it, think they are Roxim headlights and after market Nilight for the fog lights. Pretty much makes my 2 meter Yaesu 3200 DR and HF Yaesu 857 D radios useless when on. I have used ferrite beads/rf chokes no help. Been looking online but must admit not to hard, most things are about stereo, to loud for my ears stuff. Very Cool to see you Jeeping with your son. My son 47 and I get out together some and dream of the day we get to do the trails you do. His wife wants us to take our Jeeps to Colorado next July for his mothers and mine 50 anniversary, so looking forward to that. Who knows might talk them into going farther. Keep up the good work, great videos.

Thanks Brad: I got motivated and put ferrites on almost everything and pretty much got it mostly cleaned up, haven't checked the HF radio yet. Hi Brad, Love your Vlog. You show the right mix of prep and trail content. Two things that continue to peak my curiosity. 1. I hear of how to improve everything on every kind of Jeep, from super chargers to chrome moly axels and driveshafts. However, I never hear about anything to strengthen or avoid damage to the JK or other Jeep transmissions . Are they indestructible or are they just the strongest link in the chain ? What about clutch issues on Jeeps with stick or cooling issues on automatics ? 2. Could you tactfully address how you deal with the call of nature during extended trail rides ? Please share the equipment and tactics used when dealing with the change in diet, water and temperature as it relates to bodily functions. Hope to meet you at Overland Expo this year. Thanks, Neil D.

The automatic W5A580 transmission that comes with the 3.6l motor is a solid transmission. I'm sure there are some folks out there that have had issues, but in general it is very reliable. In regards to Mother Nature, they sell foldable toilets seats and sanitary bags (pack it in, pack it out) that are a good option. Thanks!

I learn so much from your videos. I’m headed to Moab in June and looking for a little advice. I’m in a ‘17 JK sport 4door. 3” lift on 35’s. No lockers. I want to have fun and some challenges but need to drive back to Florida when the fun is all done. Using by passes and some good common sense like you displayed on Hell’s Revenge. Are most of the trails doable? Also not knowing trails with limited experience is it wise to hire a guide/spotter? Thanks for all your videos.
