In this moment in time, we need these words to have it all make sense. Sometimes I believe we have these different ages of trials and tribulations because this is what mankind believes is wanted by the masses or it is what they want to push on all of us. I'm standing by in 2024 to keep by any means, the life I believe in..

I see this world moving in a direction that makes me so dam happy my kids life was so much simpler than the kids today. When my daughter was 7 she was so sweet in her 2nd grade mind. Her friends were few. Her life was not complicated her wants were minutes compared to kids today. My fear is for my grandchildren. They got to have a phone by 3yrs old, a tablet and since the covid virus and kids did virtual learning you got 5yr olds asking for laptops. Kids dont go outside anymore. Playgrounds use to be packed not anymore. Its really sad. My grands are growing up in a world of mass who can lie the best & dont let me get started on the they it them heshe people. My grands and great grands dear sweet Jesus i hope they know Him.

If you knew what your settler colony, along with the one just as bad to your south, was really up to in their wars, you wouldn't hold too much respect. Be more mindful with whom you hold in high regard. Maybe when you become older and a littler wiser, your respect for people will be re-directed to those far more deserving of your respect.

I second that. I met a gentleman at my job that told me he fought in Vietnam. I thanked him for his Service but he refused to accept it. He told me his job was to go in and eliminate all the women and children. That broke my heart you could clearly tell that haunted him clean up to his dying day. I almost started crying in front of him because I knew that's not what he wanted to do but that's what he was told to do. RIP Barry and thank you for your service

This was my favorite song at 15 years old. I had suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car wreck, being in a coma for six to eight weeks, my parents who only listened to gospel music played this song over and over on cassette tape until I was awake and in rehab, then I still played it constantly. I still l still listen to it on my phone sometimes as I do think it has substantial meaning for people in the world today ❤️

This song played thru my head the whole 18 mths and i really had nothing to believe in. Today i am sober and clean from all drugs. Now i believe in myself. This band is a multifaceted multi generational group. With the struggles they have had they somehow come out giving 1000 percent I am so glad to have grown up with them. Their music saved my life I was home less at 13 with 2 changes of clothes a Walkman and a few cassettes and everyday started with cry tough and it got me up whether it be in the rain or a friends car and helped me look at life as something to work for. All these years later I managed to make something of myself and I have to thank them for lighting the fire for me that still flames today. I don't regret my life and they helped me in a way only time could showed me. 💯 I am lucky to have had that I don't know what I would be if I didn't have the right energy to choose my path. But I know that their joy and love for music. Saved my life. Sounds silly to some but here I am and as long as they are I think we can all agree even in this downtime like the message in this song says. We gotta cry to, to get what we want even if all want nothing but a good time. Just never give up. Wherever you are in life what ever gets you through the day. Be proud. They didn't give up and even after the decades they gave us their best and the message is clear. Life is short don't miss a moment wasting energy on the things that bring you down or can'tcontrol. Peace and passion rock strong!

Mine was similar. He was a navy frog man ; before the seal program. He was heavily involved in the cold war, believe me ,those guys saw plenty of action. And, sometimes had to do the unthinkable; he paid his dues and then some. He led a very productive life after that , but had night terrors the rest of his life. He said he never had dreams anymore, he just didn't remember. It may be a terrible thing to say; but I am glad he doesn't have to see what he fought against so hard; communism on American soil.

My father was a Vietnam vet, when he came home I couldn't even sit on the same couch with him he was so PTSD, within a few months he had transfer papers to Ft. Knox, Kentucky so we went. The neighbor that lived next door-whose children I played with, took his life by stabbing himself to death with a pair of scissors in his bathroom, he had been to Vietnam as well and I am now 68 years old and can't shake the trauma our family went through because we were baby killers and spit on. My father never talked about that war, and I can't forget it. I love you daddy.

His solo from Nothing but a good time is one of the best solos in rock and all his fills are perfect for it. He was always overlooked for the speed guys that were popular back then. I don't even remember him ever getting an interview in a guitar mag.

I had forgotten this song. An excellent way to put life on lifes terms., From Jim Baker and his mess, to the vets from Nam that our country didn't want back. My heart beaks to see the homeless, as I have been there before. There IS someone to believe in, but we , being human , make choices. All have consequences, both good and bad. I am glad this song helped me to remember where I've been and where I want to be. Thank you for the upload.

I was in high school when this song came out around the time of Desert Storm. A few years later I was serving in the Army in the famed 24ID from that war. My section Sargent was a vet of that war and while drinking one night this song came across the radio. He told me a story about coming home from the war a Vietnam vet greeted them coming off the bus while this song played. Everyone on the bus adopted this song as their own.
