Your video reminded me how little I actually know about the various mushrooms out there despite growing up in the country surrounded by them... Thank you for the education.

An entire ring of these grew up on my lawn in Sydney last week. Love parasols, knew about these so didn't touch. Also known as The Vomiter back in the UK.

Interesting! In Europe (I don't know if it grows in the USA) we have the Amanita phalloides (Death Angel). It's one of the most poisonous Mushroom in the world. It's sometime mistaken for a edible one. It actual tastes real good. When eaten, you slowly die in 2 weeks. This is one reason I don't eat mushrooms.

Thank you, Cliff! Do all poisonous mushrooms leave the green color or just that species?

Howdee and Hello, Speaking of mushrooms, my wife is from Romania where she worked in a childrens hospital as a child life specialist. She saw some children who had been taken there after eating deadly mushrooms that were mistaken for edbile and similar ones. She said it is one of the worst way a person could die. Blood from every orfice and even through the skin. It was long and horrible to the end. So indeed as you say, be 100% sure. Thanks much! DaveyJO in Lancaster Co

The spore sprint should be done indoors on a flat hard surface to get an accurate one. The slightest breeze can smudge the print. Cover inside even.

Understandable if you were just trying to see the color.
