Love the "cow" bottle! Digging is hard work, but a lot of the viewers, myself included, enjoy seeing you pull the bottle you just dug. If you ever find another I would love to buy a bottle at least from you. One needs to travel stateside.

Do you tumble your bottles? A tumble in copper pieces with cleaner will get rid of the bottle "sickness" just about every time. You should consider it. Especially on the poisons and rarer bottles. Great video!

When the bottle is clouded it’s known as ‘sick’.. strange term I know but there it is lol.. a very tiny amount of olive/vegetable oil wiped well into the bottle will make it appear better looking, tho obviously not permanent 👍

Nice video, your inks are lovely. I just love your beer bottle especially the pictorial beers. You'll dug up a code bottle soon. Codes are very beautiful also. You dug up a couple of poisons, how many are in your collection? I collect inks and poisons too. Your digs keep getting better and better. Keep up the good job Dan. Take care and stay safe.😃

Well done on 1000 subs! Some good finds there, especially the poisons and beers. The green poison is 'sick', you can't get rid of it but if it is sick only on the outside a light spray of varnish makes it look much better. Good video, thank you x

Hi Dan, hope you are well? Enjoying your bottle dig vids at the moment as I used to do a bit of this myself years ago. Just wondering if you have ever come across any Hamilton/Torpedo bottles on any of your digs? These are usually 19th century and have no flat bottoms because glass blowing was very basic back then as can be seen in the shape of the bottles.

Wow! beautiful finds! good going digging 11 feet I head you say, in one day! I cant do that at the moment because of the water level here in scotland! Lovely beer and poisons, also nice lemonade bottle too! The green poison hs what's called bottle sickness - when its been in a patch of slightly acidic soil and it has done that to the glass! at least thats how I think it happens!!! Wait... you can get rid of it?!!?!??!?!! please tell me how! I have a rare pub flask which is sick, I would love to restore it back to its original look! :) :) :) :) :)

4:12 What is a small, round bottle? I am very interested in overseas bottles. I do bottle digging in Japan, but overseas bottles are also very attractive. Thank you for the wonderful video.

That is Bovril mate its like a meat paste that you mix with hot water to make a drink. Oh really that sounds interesting i will look at your channel. I think Japan is the only place that still makes codd bottles is that correct? Thanks

Been at this game 15 years pal. We can locate tips by identifying trees on sites , different grades of ash , and simply knowing from experience only certain items came of certain tips. Just leave the camera at home, your only going to bring unwanted attention from other diggers.

Put that camera down pal, you will learn not to video any of your digging. I could teach you a valuable lesson here, leave the camera at home and just dig.
