I was so excited to pick this game up but upon hearing that the new exp share system will still be used is a major downside for me. Having all my party Pokémon gain exp makes it less challenging. Sword and shield was dead easy because of this feature. Gone were the days where Pokémon requires some grinding in order to progress the story.

I love the new models they make the cute pokemon look even cuter and the ones who previously i wouldn't touch because i found them ugly now have a new appeal. Even tho the design is the same it just looks better only thing i'm unhappy about is the facial features seem to look a little blury on some pokemon when playing switch on a big screen. (The trainer models are a little clunky and move a little weird for someone who didn't play the original diamond or pearl)

Yeah there’s over 100+ Pokémon to catch raise and train. If you want to spend hours for no reason catching, training, battling, THAT IS YOUR BUSINESS. You do you. But the storyline alone isn’t long enough to sustain the amount of hours it would take to really train over 100+ Pokémon. PLUS you’re only allowed 6 to carry from start. By the time you get to the league you’re only going to be using 6 Pokémon out of the however many there are available so what’s the point in grinding for hours? TO DO WHAT? as soon as your Pokémon reach level 60 you’re good at that point. So YES exp share to cut the UNNECESSARY grinding. And BTW that wasn’t preaching that was sharing MY thoughts on a social media platform that’s available to all. - Learn what words mean. 👍🏽 👌🏽@absolutelypro

Thing that puts me off Pokemon a lot recently is how they keep splitting it up as a clear money grab technique just to line their pockets more. They could make one full/complete game and sell it for $40-$60, but instead they make two of the same games with a few different Pokemon and sell them both for $40-$60 because they know people are going to buy both versions to experience all the Pokemon each one has to offer even if it's the exact same game play. It obviously worked with Sword/Shield so they are clearly on to something as doing it again with Diamond/Shinning Pearl.

Good reasons to buy it: play it with your kids, so they can experience it for the first time. Playing on a big screen TV, although this can be done with a GameCube currently. Having a extra copy on a different Nintendo system incase you lose the others. Reasons to wait to buy it: it's coming out shortly before black Friday, cyber Monday, will more then likely be able to get it cheaper on one of these days. We can watch reviews to help better decide if it's worth it. If we wait long enough we could buy a bundle with dlc in it too. Ya overall I'd atleast hold off on buying till a discount comes around, which will probably be soon. There are good reasons for buying it, but if ones of those reasons doesn't fall into your reasons for buying it, then I'd wait to see what else is added to it down the line.

There has only been one generation where you could take on the gyms of two regions. They could just keep remaking silver, gold and crystal for all I care. Have to edit, there might be other similar games but I got crystal as a kid (parents couldn't afford the original) it will always be my favorite generation.

Yeah this game was definitely not having that style the Pokémon sword one maybe next gen will have it but it got backlash so I can’t know maybe we won’t get any new gen for a good minute and they’ll just keep experimenting with different styles like arceus being really different from a normal Pokémon game

The only thing that really concerns me is the difficulty level of the game. I haven't played the OG Diamond and Pearl (And god do I really want to) and I've heard from numerous pokemon players that it was considered some of the most difficult games to play (especially when defeating Cynthia) So with the announcement of Exp Share being locked to "on", I am wondering how they're handling the pokemon battles, because if they lower the difficulty levels of the trainers (ESPECIALLY CYNTHIA) I will cry

You don't need to wonder, they are indeed going to be much easier, the exp share is the biggest factor, but even outside of it they do other things too to lower the difficulty anyway, It was the same when comparing ORAS to the original Ruby Sapphire and Emerald games.

If you decide to try gen 4, you have to play platinum. Easily one of the best if not the best pokemon game.

I am looking forward to get both Pokemon brilliant diamond and Pokemon shining pearl games for Christmas🎄. I also would liked to play as Dawn and choose Piplup as my starter Pokemon so I can do better than the anime Dawn and what Piplup would never do. And that is catching more Pokemon and evolve Piplup into Prinplup and then to Empoleon. However when I was watching KZbin of any ideas what to expect on Pokemon brilliant diamond and Pokemon shining pearl, but when I was looking to find out about Wonder Trade that I've just found out today that at the moment is unavailable😱. I mean it isn't fair because I was looking forward to get both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl games for Christmas and I was hoping to used Wonder Trade for any Pokemon I want. Now I'm going to have to wait in early January or February to hear more news at least that what I though it's going to happen😒.

Monster hunter story is the new RPG Pokemon game like for me. Its much more difficult with better game story, music, mechanics, and you can skip cut scenes. If you haven't tried MHS2 or 1, I urge you to try it.

I guess the biggest factor would be which of the legendaries/cover arts do you think she'd like the most? There are also quite a few Pokemon which are exclusive to each version. For example Diamond has Ho-oh, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Scyther and Tyranitar and Pearl has Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Ninetales and Lugia. They are essentially the same game apart from these differences.

Than put the Pokemon you don't want to level up right away in the PC but at least you can raise up Burmy Faster so it can evolve into Wormdam if your Burmy is Female or if your Burmy is Male than it will evolve into Mothim! Weaker Bug Type Pokemon can Level up faster with Exp Share!
