Amulet Coin + Deep Colosseum = amazing. I love abusing the Amulet Coin in Deep Colosseum, especially since I purify before going after the prize for 100% purification and I don't have all the items I use before going after said prize. It's easy how Rain Dish would work while Ludicolo is underwater. If it's raining and Ludicolo's diving underwater in a body of water that gets hit by rain the raindrops would hit said body of water. That would mean that since Ludicolo's in the body of water it would get its health restored.

One of the most enjoyable playthroughs I've ever had in Pokemon was a Mono Water type run in Emerald. Each of my Pokemon's nicknames were inspired by the Mirror B theme. Aribo , Gurr, Kanga, Alokai, Baha & Kunya.

the later rounds of the deep colosseum are the hardest battles of the story mode of this game. The final round is absolutely brutal, and the boss is absolutely evil in difficulty.

Not sure if you know this (or mentioned/will mention) or not, but with battling the cipher admins you get another chance of snagging their pokemon. Rui will magically appear to let you know there's a shadow pokemon. I think this actually makes no pokemon 'missable' in the game.

i was able to set up sunny day with meganium after the first ludicolo went down, and that helped massively. Then with some clever switching between Quagsire and Entei, I tricked the AI to attacking my pokemon with not very effective/ineffective hits while my meganium dealt wicked solarbeams

Allow me to refine the dewig idea: Dewig, water bug pokémon, evolves from Surskit via water stone. Water/Bug type, Higher attack, special attack, HP, and speed base than Surskit Learns more water and bug damaging moves, rain dish or swift swim for ability. Dewig, an alternate evolution of Surskit, has a large hat-shaped wick on it's back that gathers dew while it sleeps, which it absorbs when not within reach of any bodies of water. The wick also emits a scent that draws prey closer.

just to get this out. i'm afraid to challenge the deep colosseum because i think i'm a tad underleveled, i would appreaciate advice if i should go train at mt.battle/ under colosseum etc. or not. my team: espeon lvl 57: psychic/return/reflect/protect feraligatr lvl 58: surf/brick break/return(max happiness)/rain dance houndom lvl 57: flamethrower/faint attack/shadow ball/protect heracross lvl 56: megahorn/brick break/attract(u read that right)/protect skarmory lvl 58: drill peck/steel wing/toxic/protect metagross lvl 55: meteor mash/psychic/light screen/iron defense

Quincy Krans A bit underleveled. I personally like being at Lv60 even before Realgam Tower. If you're still having issues, I advise training at Mt Battle and getting up to Area 6 or 7, when they start giving out good experience. Also, use the Earthquake TM on Heracross and ditch Protect on both it and Skarmory. You have multiple team members with Protect, and Skarmory's a physical wall. Replace Protect on Skarmory with Rest (you can use Rest in conjunction with Call so you're not wasting Full Heals, Awakenings, etc.)
