Qwilfish, got an Evolution, and it's STILL one of the worst, and most forgotten Pokémon I've ever seen! Even Farfetch'd is slightly better than both whatever Qwilfish and Dunsparce's evolved forms are; combined; I bet.

I'm giving a Dunsparce a shot in Pokemon Y. It's male, has Serene Grace and thus far I've been able to use him like a champ! I also have a habit of nicknaming my Pokemon. He's a Pokemon whose stats make it a bit of a butt monkey and even though he has wings he can't fly. So what's my Dunsparce's name? Pit! :D

@Mr. Ark1265 - That playthrough was quite a long time ago! From my memory, I recall Pit falling behind the rest of my team but he pulled through all the way to the end. He was set up to be as bulky as I could get him to be via Super Training, give him as many opportunities to take advantage of Serene Grace. He ended up being "The Status Guy" going in to inflict chip damage and status before switching out.

I will bring something up that I don't think he's mentioned for anyone wanting to use this as a sort of guide. Flaafy is actually a good choice for your team, at least as far as catching Pokemon goes; it remembers Thunder Wave rather early on and can be a great way to make catching Shadow Pokemon sooooo much easier. Plus it has the ability Static, which can also be very useful for catching Shadow Pokemon. I also personally like to use Skiploom for a similar purpose (it learns Sleep Powder and will eventually learn Leech Seed, which can be useful for widdling down Pokemon without killing them) but Flaafy is probably the more effective of the two as far as status effects are concerned.

From all the status conditions, the rarest one is Freezing. No Status move can inflict freezing instantly, like Hypnosis, Will O Wisp, Thunder Wave or Toxic can.

Looking at Dunsparce's stats, they're actually AVERAGE! Keep in mind that a second-stage evolution has around 400 total base stats. Dunsparce has 415, better than Gabite, Fraxure, Sealeo, and EVERY BUG/FLYING-TYPE OTHER THAN MOTHIM. Its stats are equal in total to Furret, so, on closer inspection, it's actually pretty good.

@@DyerPlays doesn't super training just raise the effort values? And effort values can be raised simply by fighting other pokemon, so the super training is just an easier way to get the effort values you want. Plus effort values can increase any pokemons stats.

I used to think that Dunsparce evolved into Yanma. I thought Yanma was the coolest Pokemon and I thought you could have two Yanma in the game. I leveled the Dunsparce up to level 72 before I realized that it did not evolve.

Meditite/Medicham is a physical attacker; the best it’ll be able to do here is HJK or Shadow Ball. In later generations, it’s punching moves are physical which makes it a lot more versatile, but it’s kind of mediocre here.

You need to heal your espeon more and give it levels. Espeon is very, very much valuable to you, and you HAVE to level it up if you want to wreck face. If you go back and refight the trainers you missed offscrean, that's fine, but you WANT experiance, especially for later in the game and ESPECIALLY for a certain Cipher Admin. Which one? Here's a hint. She is named after a planet and has one particular pokemon that everyone hates when fighting her. Get my drift?

he not really lying.. sorta. shuckle can use power trick if all of shuckles offensive stats are maxed and a yamma's defences are minimized, shuckle is lv 100, and yamma is lv 1, and shuckle uses defence curled 6th rollout.. holding a metronome, with huge power as ability. its must be triple battle with cherrim. must be sunny day. cherrim and other pokemon uses helping hand.. it has the potential of doing 481,266,036 dmg the chance of this: you will be struck by lightning 300 times in same day

Chugga Why are you so hard on Dunsparce's stats yet praising Quagsire? The total base stat difference between them is 15 points in favor of quagsire with both of them having a very very similar spread. Quagsire has 5 less hp, 10 more attack and defense, the same specials, and 10 less speed compared to Dunsparce. I know it's type is good but Quagsire is still just not a good pokemon. I'm not saying don't use it, I'm just saying you're making this game harder than necessary by using it over others

ok, to be fair I have nothing against Quasire, Remoraid or Qwilfish but they just don't help as much in this game as a water type. the only ones that do help is Crocanaw and Mantine which is kinda sad for me since they are the only water types that work with me in battle when I need a water type to help me out. does anyone else feel that way?

it's stats are good on the physical side this guy just makes some errors when it comes to explaining stats also some pokemon will be evolving from these ponits to get stats in the 100's 90's and 80's so it is possible he was saying it's bad only because it won't evolve main point is dunsparse isn't as bad as everone says it is but it isn't perfect either

Because I felt like it XD. No really, I meant what I said.. Dunsparce and the other I mentioned (With the exception of Sudowoodo which can be a powerhouse if used right) are pretty much useless in battle. They don't do much and they faint quite fast if hit by one or two attacks..
