I long hesitated to do whether The Gym From Ruby and Sapphire or The Final Battle against Steven in my next video. Since I did the same with Red before, I decided to do Steven too. The Gym Leader from Ruby and Sapphire got different team than Emerald and the battle are also epic. It will be posted later today. Sorry for the delay. Enjoy this one!

On one hand, I'm sad they stripped Steven of his prestige, on the other, turning him into Red, was a cool idea and one that I was very excited to experience.

I love that the rival song plays in this final fight. It was always my favourite battle theme of gen 3. This was also the hardest fight in gen 3. I used a Sceptile, Ludicolo, Gardevoir, Skarmory, Tentacruel and Sandslash. My Gardevoir had shadowball for Metagross but it was too strong and kept killing her so I had to wall it out with the Skarmory. I stalled for so long that Metagross started using struggle and died of recoil XD. Also I was stupidly under levelled which would explain a lot.

I used to think Shadow ball was special in Gen 3, but it isn't! Now I use Gardevoir with Flash, Psychic, Thunderbolt and Thief and it works better

@@Lazer_Specter Yes, that's why I got to train a Banette just so I wouldn't suffer with the psychic twins and Phoebe. PD: Poor Gengar couldn't use effectively the Ghost type moves until Gen 4.

Steven has a pretty cool team, but yours is cool as well. When I played the games my teams always had dragons and those who have some draconians traits. I never exploited the type advantage.

The team I used to beat Steven was also the team I used to beat Wallace which were: Swampert Gardevoir Breloom Crobat Manectric Absol I prefer steven as the champion than wallace but i had to respect their music since emerald was the first game i played so it has a special place in my heart and it also started my love for pokemon 😄

for the emerald battle they should have modified his pokemons moveset like replace aggrons dragon claw with Aeriel ace for coverage against fighting and thunder with thunder punch because aggron is a physical attacker and give claydol ice beam and metagross ice punch
