Hardcore Rules:

Also, Magic Guard negates indirect damage, not status or added effects. The paraflinch strat was still viable-he just got unlucky on prior turns. Edit: And he also gets a flinch on Clefable later in the battle. I am now officially confused on what he was talking about.

The rat power reference is a subtle detail, at least in the video, I don't konw the thought process that happened during the stream, but it's just so good. It shows respect and friendship between two of the best pokem nuzlokers on this platform. And the same thing applies to other names like magnemeete. I'm so happy that I can get those references

3:33 I can relate to that. I once found a shiny Sandile in Pokémon Y, lowered its HP to the red, paralyzed it (with Static), but only had a single Heal Ball to catch it. The ball rocked three times, and the Sandile broke out. It still hurts a bit to this day.

Feraligatr doesn’t die to a Thunder Punch there unless it takes that Fire Punch with a minus Defense nature. You’d have to chance paralysis, but Gatr wins that fight if it doesn’t get paralyzed Edit: Ominous Wind can also give an omniboost, there are three moves
