I love the idea of more spawns in rural areas, but the lack of pokestops is definitely my biggest issue. I hope they can somehow change that one day. Addressing rural issues in general is exciting lol. -also that possible holiday map looks freaking awesome.

The first POIs they added were taken from some photographer platform with geotags, I believe. Other than that, they have always been spots that someone took a photo of and sent in, first it was only Ingress players and they had the feature disabled sometime when pokemon happened. Now, you can submit them from pokemon as well, so your best bet is to find a good spot and send it in. If it gets rejected, you can also appeal it now. For a rural area, any sort of place to get together like a cafe or restraurant may do, as there might be a lack of statues and playgrounds etc. Or anything that has a rich history. I heard people even commissioned an artwork or statue to get it added to the games in the past.

I hope they increase the spawns in rural areas when I first started this game again at the start of the year the spawns in my hometown here in Scotland were kinda ok but recently it's been dropping each week making it tougher to hunt anything worthwhile 😊

I got my first rural good spawn yesterday, got a gyarados and disappointment of New Zealand being test rats for zorua meaning I couldn’t get it in Australia. My happy wild gyarados shiny drifloon and shiny rockruff out of egg self got very upset after that one.

I feel like they needed to add Foggy to certain times of the day during this halloween period. Fog is a weather that is never present anymore. Making it impossible to ever get weather boosted monotype Dark & Ghost types. Especially since this holiday season mostly revolves around Ghosts, I feel they could for several hours during the day and night have it be foggy weather. Even if it was for just 1 hour at a time.

Frankly I’d like the stickers to be reorganized so that they can be by event, by order of receiving them, or by highest number to lowest number of stickers. Scrolling through to find a stack of 25 in the midst of two dozen single stickers is maddening

Also, if shiny can appear in map during "Zorua" spawns, we'll be able to see shiny before encountering. Speculation of course, but makes sense. RIP shiny checking soon.

I've submitted it since 2019, but more detailed stuff, including mock-ups 2020, 2021, and 2022. You MIGHT be able to dig up my Mock-up, which I believe was a Bulbasaur with autumn leaves falling.

Good sticker update, one long side scroll was awful for that many stickers. I would love to see an update to your Gym Badge Map! Right now is a pixelated shape of the country, with 0 landmarks, border, anything at all, and just your gym badges accurately placed locations, but it looks terrible!

Then it got updated.. and now it's a mess that's at least 2+ years old. Which is weird because Google Maps AND Open street map are up-to-date so Idk where the heck their data came from but it annoys the dung out of me. My house is gone, everything is so confusing and inaccurate right now and I hate it.

You can submit them yourself, they don't add spots themself, they did so once in the past before 2014 or something, but not anymore. But it has to meet the requirements. Good spots tend to be playgrounds, artwork, statues, anything with a history. If you don't have the ability to do so (not sure what the level requirement is rn) and you find a good spot, you can ask other local players, who might also be able to tell whether the spot is really something that can be approved.
