I feel the music during the battle is more suitable for Red than Lance. If a Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee esque remake of Pokémon Crystal comes out, the music should only play when battling Red. Lance should have a new theme.

I only used 3 level 85 pokemon to beat Red. Togetic Granbull And Clefable. And i only used metronomes! Fun facts about it I made Charizard faint with Vine Whip and Snorlax lost to Body Slam. I just love the irony!

QOTD-1: Gengar (72), Lugia (71), Noctowl (72 with HM Fly), Suicune (72 with HMs Surf & Waterfall), Tyranitar (70), Electrode (30, Flash HM). The (long) story: I didn't have Internet at the time and my friends weren't that far in the game to spoil me, so I didn't know about the encounter at Mt. Silver beforehand. Before I spoke with Red for the first time, I encountered a wild lvl 17 Larvitar. I thought it was weird to encounter such a low level Pokémon in a cave full of lvl 40-something wild Pokémon, so I caught it. After this, I saved the game and spoke with Red, who beated my team at the time (every Pokémon I had was around lvl 50-60). Then I restarted the game (didn't want to lose money), I used a Escape Rope and proceeded to train that Larvitar in the Pokémon League because I wasn't able to shake off my head the thought of how weird it was to find such a low level Pokémon in that cave. Over time, it became a Tyranitar and shortly after evolving, I realised how powerful it was in battle, so I added it on my regular team. After everyone was around lvl 70, I decided to face Red again...and I beated him into oblivion. Of course, Tyranitar became the MVP of the fight, beating Pikachu, Espeon, Charizard and Snorlax on its own.

I personally feel we should call this the Kanto & Johto Champion theme since it first plays for Lance then Red dethrones Lance to take his spot as the new Champion earning this Champion theme in the process. Obviously we know that Red doesn't stays at the Indigo Plateau instead he heads to Mt SIlver for further training hence Lance is the substitute Champion in Red's absence. So its like a general theme for anyone who manages to beat Lance and partially becomes the new Kanto & Johto Champion they share it with Lance & Red until they obviously beat Red to rightfully deserve to call it their own theme 🤔

I beat Yellow and Silver (defeated all opponents and got the end credits) without a guide. Those are the only main Pokemon games I have played. I did need a guide to catch all the Pokemon/ complete the Pokedex.
