So it's been awhile since ya boy has done a full-on Pokémon mashup like this lmao. I've been wanting to get this done for a long while, but could never have much time to do so. I actually started working on this mashup back all the way in February, but at the time there weren't that many remixes or covers on this theme and so ya boy had to wait awhile before being able to do a full-on mashup with this theme. In my own opinion, this theme in general is just amazing. Sure it's not intense like all the other champions, but it's still fun and makes the battle way more exciting.
But anyway, now that it's been about a little over 6 months or so after the release of Sword/Shield, there's now really good remixes and covers on Leon's theme and after spending a few hours or so to get it all mixed in, this is the best I could get it. It may not be 100% accurately synchronized, but I still hope y'all enjoy it either way!!

I actually could only beat Leon by putting Eturnatus (probably butchered that spelling) on my team 👀 But when I did another playthrough I had a balanced team and was over leveled, so I curb-stomped him.

His charizard gave me problems almost took out my whole team including eternatus I tried to use my blastoise but for some stupid reason his charizard knows solar beam so he one shotted blastoise luckily I had a toxtricity amped form so I beat his charizard with that but he almost knocked that out to. But I still beat him first try.

@@ness7435 He was purposely given Solar Beam for those who would try to use Water or Rock-type Pokémon against him. His Charizard was actually given what in my opinion was a pretty well balanced move set, not unlike what you would see in Competitive. The only thing that hurt it was it’s Gigantamax not setting up Sun, meaning that once the Max form runs out, he would be stuck with 2-turn solar beams instead of actually having to use it in only 1 turn.

Even if Leon wasn’t the hardest champion, I think I definitely had the most fun battling him, from his theme, to the feeling of actually being in the stadium full of fans, to his reaction when you do beat him. Honestly a champion doesn’t need to be hard to be good, as long as they actually have a character and are more than just npcs that show up every once in a while to give you tips and items.

Leon is my favorite character not only is he really skilled but he’s also really nice he wants the best for you and his brother he doesn’t build you down through out the story instead he encourages you also his fashion sense is amazing I love his cape his battle was challenging but fun which you can hear in his theme you hear his fun dazzling personality but also that feeling of serious and a bit intimidating this mashup perfectly fits his personality

I think he’s the best champion in the series; hear me out. Being a champion isn’t just about being strong. Yes, the baseline for a champion is to be very strong, but you can’t be too strong to the extent that people FEAR you when they hear your theme. Leon is strong already, but what separates him is that being from the Galar region, his battles occur in a stadium where people are supporting you, and not in an enclosed room where you view the champion as a scary disaster to survive, rather than a tough but fun wall to overcome. This is why Leon, in my heart, beats champions like Cynthia, Blue and Lance by a mile. He really deserves to be portrayed as the undefeated champion in Journeys.
