Their fight is cancelled and may not be fully done, but I think that's okay. Then he goes to a vacation to Alola to relax himself from all his travels, but decides to travel Alola too. This is what should have happened, not the "kinda-stupid" Pokemon School they had.

English Openings? Definitely. Along with the Black and White opening, it's the best one. When counting Japanese openings, it's in my top 5 openings overall. Pokémon XYZ's opening is imo the best one of them all, partially because it sounds the most Shounen and it was one of the times Pokémon was at their peak.

A huge nostalgia blast for me when this theme plays out. Still have like last 6 or so episodes on VHS. Watched those over and over again when i was a kid. Fun fact, season 6 was the first full season to be dubbed in finnish. Before that first 52 episodes were dubbed from season 1, season 2 skipped entirely (exept the movie), some of season 3, first 20 episodes from season 4 and then last 20 epsiodes from season 5. I don't know why it was done this way. So when i watched all seasons from episode 1 some years ago there was a lot of new episodes for me.

@@Father_of_Death I would argue that it added more to the movie's aesthetic. It takes place in Pokemon's equivalent of Venice, which is a city that mostly consists of water. Which could give it that dark blue tint that it has got going on. And I don't know, I think that it looks pretty neat

I feel that this is when 4Kids struck gold with the pokemon themes. This up to Advanced Battle is just ear candy for me. Battle Frontier, the first Funimation season, kind of lost the charm that 4Kids hit, even though it was still alright. It's quite upsetting though since I feel like Pokemon was one of the only things that 4Kids really handled well, especially the later seasons. I really can't stand the newer themes if I'm going to be completely honest. I wish we had more stuff like this again. Edit: I was corrected in the comments that it was the Pokémon Company that made the themes after 4Kids, not Funimation. Thanks Avery!
