While I didn't grew up with the original Pokémon anime (I grew up with DP) and watched a fair share of the episodes, it was truly heartbreaking to hear of Rachael Lillis's passing and know how much it impacted on all of us pokémon fans as the original voice of Misty and Jessie. But it was commendable to pay tribute to her, as a childhood icon and a part of us, she may be gone but she will be not forgotten. RIP Rachael Lillis. The last part really killed off the heartwarming bit. Just when things are coming up roses, something more sinister, more fearing, and more evil is coming from the shadows. Geez, that one was so cruel and scary, it killed the heartwarming part of the episode to me, not to mention the strange glitches in the video and that "MewZ" and its visions giving off the suspense and fear. Why!? 😰

With the episode being Misty saying farewell to Marc, I felt it was the perfect time to tribute her. The OG cast has a special place in my heart.

"Zap Go!!" Out comes the Pikachu Sparks Dancing around his Cheeks to show its Excitement Staryu jumps out of the water Sending a point blank Water pulse. But Zap showing the fight he was always was hungry for sends a thundershock everywhere. Staryu managed to avoid the attack before landing in the water, and this is where its mistake was. Staryu was shortly declared knocked out after landing in the electrified Water. Starmie also gets a shock when brought out. "I'll right! Zap return! Now Blaze end this with mega punch!" the fire type's fist ends the battle in one blow.

This was an amazing chapter/Video EliteMJ. I loved the evolutions of Spearow and Bellsprout. But Anthony seemed mad when Darius was mentioned for training, what is Anthony’s problem with Meowth? I loved the Gym battle and the Tentacool and Wartortle Pokémon were amazing I loved that Pichu and Meowth battled well here Also Rachel’s Grandpa Stone sure seems out of character. I feel bad for Rachel. I bet Anthony wanted Darius to lose the Gum battle It was amazing that Mark won and got his badge Also who does Misty mean by She? ash’s wife or daughter if he has one? I hope we see a Mark & Misty battle Also why did Eevee reject the Waterstone? Long comment coming in her, giving my thoughts on this episode and my experience with the Pokemon anime and the past year as a whole. It’s very long, but I feel like it’s relevant to what we get in this episode. If Blue is Gary’s father in this, I wonder if that means Red is going to appear/be mentioned later in the story. Hmm, wonder if Anthony is kinda developing some romantic feelings for Rachel based on his reaction from Rain winking at her. I liked Charlie’s reaction to her being nervous about being near the water, reminds me of of my Charmander OC and the story idea where my OC character tries to give him a bath when he’s a Charizard, but they have a humorous fight over, kinda like in the Gary Takes a Bath SpongeBob episode. Two badges down, six to go and I wonder who this “she” Misty mentioned is. Also, that green glowing light, I think I remember seeing someone mention this in your most recent video and after rewatching these videos, I wonder if that green light could be MewtwoZ’s glowing tail and the hints we’ve seen of it aren’t happening concurrent with the story. I did watch Pokemon when, I was younger and really enjoyed it, but it wasn’t one of the pillar shows of my childhood, it was just a show I watched when I caught it on TV on Cartoon Network. I sadly never even saw a series from beginning to end and the first series I ever saw was Advanced, not the original series, though I did have the Pokemon the First Movie Mewtwo Strikes Back and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, which came with the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon special, which has been so long since I’ve seen it, like before I was even 10 I think, that I didn’t even remember Misty was in it until recently watching a video on someone talking about the special, and I can only assume I didn’t even know who Misty was back than since I hadn’t seen any original series episodes at that point in my life. Other points in my life occasionally I did see episodes from other series, like Diamond and Pearl airing on TV and Black and White and some original series episodes on OnDemand, but still never saw any all the way through since I didn’t have any reliable way to do so. Earlier this year, I only just started to get more seriously into Pokemon, watched the original series on Netflix with 52 episodes, I even bought the DVD set and bought a bunch of Pokemon movies off Amazon, most of which I’ve never even seen before this year or I only caught the ending of some of them on TV, I even rebought Lucario and the Mystery of Mew with the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon special and Mewtwo Strikes Back because a younger me couldn’t always put disks back in their cases to save his freaking life and have for months watched a few XY series episodes and their Mega Evolution specials and some other special episodes on this free site called Pokeflix. Have even watched a bunch of Pokemon related videos on KZbin, like this series for example. Suffice to say, this has been the year of Pokemon for me and I’m glad I finally got serious about it and have a lot of wasted years to make up for. I guess what I’m also trying to get at with this is, Rachael Lillis and her roles in Pokemon may not have been one of the biggest parts of my childhood, but I still really appreciate her work on the series, voicing characters like Misty and Jesse and others that she provided her voice for as I come across them as I watch and it’s sad to hear of her passing and while I can’t say “Thank you for so many childhood memories with your work on Pokemon” like so many others can, though I wish I could, I can at least say “Thank you for the memories I’m making with your work on Pokemon now and I’m looking forward to continuing to appreciate your voice work whenever I can hear it on screen.” Hope Mark does get to have a battle with Misty in a video one day, could be a great tribute video to Rachael Lillis like this one, same for when she and Ash have a reunite, hopefully Mark’s brother can get the chance to meet her one day to.
