Holy shit, this was actually attempted? I never even thought of this mashup, and this is my favorite game theme in the entirety of the Pokemon franchise as a whole. Yes, through all 7 generations and the spinoffs, this track from the mainline games is my all time favorite. That said, I realize this video is slightly misleading for not mentioning the (superior) inclusion of the actual original E4 medley from R/S/E. It's not just a mashup of the remakes and anime.

If I can be honest, the first part of the mashup is really kind of superior to the second. The R/S/E sounds contrast nicely with the Anime track to create something different and fun to listen to.
