I've been watching a couple of speedruns recently, never really having been into it much, and I gotta say that this was one of the most enjoyable ones, perhaps because the speakers allow themselves to nerd through and have fun with pokemon themes. Don't know if that makes it worse for viewers who don't know pokemon so well, but I had great fun watching this.

So many great things about this run, but one of my favorites is when Etchy found out that Azurill from Gen 6 on is Normal/Fairy and gets the Water typing when it evolves into Marill. My reaction was much the same when I decided I wanted to take Azumarill to the Kalos E4 and found that out from Bulbapedia, lmao

Doing GDQ from home means less people have to work on the event at once & means not having to deal with a rented space & a crowd so longer games can be played. Gen 7 are hella long to run though thanks to the cutscenes so they're ridiculously wild to run
