Dynamic Aero I was bit dissapointed myself. Their theme along with Regi theme felt less imposing also these two were so cartoonish in Oras they could actually make Team Rocket feel intimidating. You know, it's been forever since I played these games, and I just now realized that there might be some narrative significance as to why these guys share the same battle theme. Think about it - despite the fact that they hate each other and claim to be at opposite ends of the ideal spectrum, they're both essentially doing the same thing. That's what the game's telling us - "Same shit, different asshole."

From a design point, Maxie is better in the original and Archie in the remake. However, in both versions they're awesome. That's my opinion though, and both themes sound great, original and remake, perfect for their times.

I'd say it depends on your version, tbh. I played Alpha Sapphire, and Maxie's design worked for him when he is acting as an ally. As a villain, however, I prefer his original design. The scientist vibe kinda works against him as the bad guy, as it makes it harder to believe that he, a supposedly quite intelligent man, would want to dry up the planet. Archie, however, I feel the exact opposite. I completely believe that a guy who dresses like a pirate, wears a wetsuit 24/7 and wears a gigantic golden chain around his neck would be crazy enough to try and flood the entire world. In Omega Ruby, however, he is supposed to come across as the more sensible of the two, which just seems unlikely when looking at their designs. Still, I like both designs of the both of them. However, that's all just my opinion.

As much I like both the RSE version and ORAS version of this piece, I prefer the RSE. Not because of nostalgia, but of preference. The RSE version gives the image of a western showdown, with a bit of higher tempo and intensity. On the other hand, the ORAS version gives the image of a duel against a royal knight or something like that, with a bit slower tempo and a rather majestic impression. The former gives me the rush of adrenaline, making me aggressive on my move choice. The latter makes me calm, to gather my senses and make the most logical decision. Don't get me wrong though. I like both of these themes, but I just like that rush of adrenaline in my veins. I guess intensity and majesty is the main difference between the prequel and sequel. Anyhow, the OST of pokemon games was in its prime on gen 3 in my opinion.
