Check the bottom of the card, next to the card number. Common is a circle, a diamond is uncommon, and a black star is a rare. There are a bunch of other rarities which are usually flashier looking cards.

Always makes me laugh a little that the boxes are literally the same as MTG, only with different arts and cards.
