The heights are way too low for most of these characters, especially those like Viola and Chili, who are adults and are shown to be normal compared to other adults. Ash's height is also not valid. See, it varies each region. In Kanto he probably is 4'7 I'll give you that, but in Advanced gen he's as tall as Misty, and is taller then May by a good few inches. So that puts him, plus with evidence in comparison to specific pokemon and Gary who he now is as tall as at least, around 5'-5'2 in AG. In DP, he's taller again. This is the last generation before they really try and shrink Ash and other characters whenever adults appear, and he actually looks like a teenager plus is shown to tower over May by a considerable margin and again at least as tall as Gary, who was taller then him in OG and compared to Brock he also looks nearer to his height, while he reaches up to Jessie's chin now, and when he's with Cynthia he looks fairly reasonable, Cynthia is supposed to be quite tall for a women, plus I'm fairly sure she's seen as a model, so she's probably 6-6'2( take into account shoes), so both he and Paul are probably 5'3-5'5, short enough to look smaller compared to adults still, but tall enough when Ash meets some new trainers in Sinnoh and when he's with actual pre 10 kids, he looks like he's been travelling for a few years. BW they reset him hard, he's around 4'8-4'10 here, they really want to make him be 10 again so when he's near adults they make him small, and Cilan absolutely towers over him. XY he's taller then BW, when Alexa is talking to him before he leaves to explore the first Kalos town, you can see between BW and XY he's moved up in comparison to her, she even doesn't need to bend down to talk to him. Clemont, Serena and other kids his age-ish are either his height or a might shorter then him, the new trainers like Sawyer look way younger compared to him and he's a good deal taller, Alain is 19 or something and pretty tall, so of course Ash, who also is essentially a Japanese person on holiday to France, evidenced by how Kalos and the people look very european compared to Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh which were all based off Japans regions, would look short compared to him, He's around 5'1-5'4 here, Alain is around 6'3. Alola- hard reset, he looks and acts like a big dumb kid, he's probably 4'10 or so. Journeys- looks like a 7 year old, is 4'7 now, he's shrunk big time.
