Pokémon Stadium | Gen 1.5 Miss

Fascinating. I've been playing this game regularly for 20+ years and I've never seen this personally. I've seen it 3 times on KZbin though. Once in this video, once in the world record speedrun (funnily enough), and once in a playthrough I was watching (although the streamer didn't notice because it was Swift on an underground Pokemon, so it didn't register to him that it was a Gen I miss because he's used to modern generations).

The math behind it is apparently WAY more rare than a regular "gen 1 miss" I couldn't ever even figure out how much more rare but the folks in the stadium speedrun discord were talking about it a while back. My takeaway was their "correction" was to essentially add another roll to try and correct if the gen 1 miss happened, by just adding another of the same roll on top, so it's like rolling it twice back to back xD Makes sense to fix it that way though as opposed to actually fixing the code if i understood it all correctly, sorry if this is wrong lmao. but yeah wild, i got put onto it watching one of werster's runs then it happened to me not far after
