I think this works better since 1. Both shows are wildly popular with people not in the targeted age group, and 2. IMHO Flutter's lines don't fit her character of cute and shy at all. They just sound crude and evil. Wouldn't of worked better with any of the characters from MLP. The lines just don't fit the tone of the show at all. Animeme did a ton of research for Pokémon, and didn't do much at all for MLP. That's probably why the lines don't fit and are just generally off.
