The main concern I have, as a rural player, with the remote raid nerf, is the fact that for me there is no other option than raid with remote raids. Unless ofcourse I get in my car and drive to the big city that is about an hour away, then sit in my car there and do raids there. Not exactly the Pokemon Go experience Niantic is promoting.

@@ENZO542_ depends on the method, there are methods that will get you banned in a week and some others that will just give you 2 hours SoftBans which all they do is make you unable to catch Pokémon and spin poke stops but never get you actually banned

The single hour for the primals only applies to sunday, same day we get rayquaza, so it's best to make the best out of the raid hours and go fest if you want to hunt those

From my experience after you do 1 in person raid then spin a gym disc it will give you a free raid pass, then after you do another in person raid and spin the gym disc it will give you another free raid pass etc. Up to 9 times, but in order to get the free raid pass, you have to complete an in person raid first.

I really only have one complaint about this video: If you have a car you can drive anywhere you want, awesome -- right? Then "authorities" come along and now you can only buy enough gas to drive 5 miles, and then they double the price of gas on top. Are the authorities actually giving you anything, if they let you buy unlimited gas for 2 days? Now, I believe I know why remote raids had to be nerfed, and even why they made them more expensive, but this is just my opinion: when remote raids were unlimited, people could buy them and burn through game content insanely quickly and easily; this the 5x per day limit. But, to get around that limit, you could just have multiple accounts. This, effectively, returned you to unlimited raids. Doubling the price made this less attractive. I just kind of wonder how this affected their bottom line. The first month after the nerf they stated they were performing to their expectations. The month after that they laid off something like 120 staff.

I hate remote raids. Every time I get invited to a legendary remote raid it's always one other person in the raid I waste my pass and the two of us couldn't win the raid anyways. You should be able to see how many people are in The Raid before you're invited. I don't know how many times I accept it a remote raid invitation only for it to be one other person and a complete waste of money.

i was like you once. what you need to do is create a blank party sheet and keep it on that if you think people will bail or not enter raid. this prevents loss of pass when you exit out.

The raid does not take your raid or remote raid pass unless the raid begins. You have time to leave and not use your raid or remote raid pass. If you do attempt and lose, you do get to redue the raid for free (uses the same raid pass you failed on)

I think it’s a good compromise. Including 2 normal passes is keeping with encouraging you to raid in person, with the bonus of an overall price effective box for remote raiding.
