Most of the people that participate in Go Battle League are spoofers and or run multiple accounts. How is legit players supposed to compete with Spoofers? Spoofers are sniping the best Pokémon and best IV’s and farming candy to power them up. Then you got the people running multiple accounts trading Pokémon from one account to the next doing literally hundreds of battles a day when the rest of us can only do 25. I bet 95% of the people that reply in the comments to this video are either spoofing or running multiple accounts.

This is EXACTLY what happens to me in GBL. I'm winning and there is NO issue with wi-fi at all and suddenly, my game just freezes and I'm "lagging" for no reason and then lose. I knew there were cheats out there like that and it's happened so many times that I should have won. I've literally probably lost 20% of my games due to this cheat, which is insane for the amount of games I've played.

I only play if I have to complete a task. The reason I hate it is because it DOESN'T MATTER what team I use, my win/ loose % is always 50/50 give or take. I can use a crap team and still have 50/50-ish win/lose rate. Same with a great team, 50/50ish. My favorite cheat in gbl is the "error 06" or something like that, where I enter into a battle, see my trainer opponent, see my lead mon, see their lead mon, and vice versa... everything is normal thus far. We both see that I hard counter their lead, and all of a sudden the battle is dropped and I'm taken back to the gbl main screen as if it never happened, with "error 06" or something like that popping up on the screen. It ONLY ever happens when I have a lead win. It's never, EVER, happened on a lead loss or even a neutral match-up. I just laugh now because I know what it is.

What Niantic needs to do is when you are matched up with an opponent that is of same rank or similar skill have you select your 3 Pokémon for battle after you are paired up with an opponent. Niantic can give you 15-20 seconds to select your Pokémon. That way there will be no controversy on whether they are using an algorithm based of your Pokémon or movesets. It would actually be legit. Most people will have multiple preselected teams ready to go so it probably wouldn’t need to be an longer than 15 seconds. Why wouldn’t this be how it is from the beginning? Because then Niantic wouldn’t be able to enfluence match making and give the trainers hard counters when they are on a win streak.

And tbh, I think all of this could be solved had Niantic focused on what the players want over massive profits. I absolutely agree with Poke AK. Since the end of last season and this season I am facing the lag at the very end of the game when I am absolutely in the driver seat of the match. Opponent is just on 2-3hp and i have two mons left and the game stops registering my fast moves. If it was once I would have thought maybe it was a lag at my end but it keeps happening again and again. If you all want proof of it I can upload a video in the form of shorts on my channel. Before this month, I had experienced the "quit to make the match not be a loss" very little, now I find myself lagging when I'm just about to win, or getting my screen frozen when I'm about to throw the last charged attack and end up losing a match that I had won. I've never done this in Pogo but me and my friends used to do this in Halo 3 back in the day. My friend was able to create a similar system to make opponents lag in games to help us win. He even used it against me one time. This was 12 to 15 years ago. If it existed on an XBOX 360 online game back then, it definitely exists now in Pogo. It happens to me all the time during PVP as well

When I'm on home internet/wifi, the game freezes on me quite commonly when I'm in a winning matchup. It rarely does this when I'm on 5G cellular data. Yes, I do experience lag and "weak connection" flags, but not the way I do on home internet, where the connection should be rock solid. I'll win lead, or switch, then the game just goes unresponsive until the opponent is unloading charged moves on me. I wonder if on cellular data they can't mount the same kind of IP identification and denial-of-service overloads as they can by reading my home internet IP address. I was watching a Dan Ottawa video the other day, and he was commenting on the game freezing on his home wifi, and while he didn't mention it, I couldn't help but notice that it only froze when he was in a winning matchup.

After the match sitch wi-fi back on. If you're out and about tho where you can't switch from wifi to 5g or vice versa, just kinda screwed lol

Have to say after a season has been going for a while you don't see it as often, but there has been an uptick in times where my oppent has charged attacks too often. This is most notable on skeledirge against my flygon both are hard counters for each other I know the timing on disarming voice yet there are times when it comes out after one quick attack. Other cases I've seen was gengar after two attacks throwing a shadow ball.

I just encountered someone in the lower legends bracket running a normal whishcash lead and wigglytuff/shadow a9tails as safe swaps. I was good until I ran to him and lagged on the lead swap (shiny shadow dragonair) when he instantly switch, but I switched to my skamory after that. They Got ahead of energy with their wigglytuff but didn't matter I still won that battle. The lag was here and there but I manged to pull it off. It's still a thing

I have tried the VPN suggestion. It does not help. I started to record all my GBL matches now. So far i have 2 cheaters on camera. The same procedure. I am about to have a clear win, half way through Thore second pokemon my game stops working. Always when i am about to throw a charged attack. When it is supposed to land, the game freezes.

Look, at first I also felt suspicious as battle was lagging on my last charged move, but it happened with random opponents and when I reloaded app, lagging disappeared for several sets of battles, then reappeared, so... Probably most of the time it's just lagging, and I hope it will be fixed. As for algorithm, there are indeed periods when it puts you against teams you simply can't win with your set of Pokemons, well, reconsider your team 😁

I know there a small few that cheat in PVP but I really don’t think it’s many maybe at the top of the ranks but from 2000-2700 elo I haven’t been faced with anything suspicious other than normal server lag issues here and there but nothing that gives opponent a edge like gaining lots of energy etc and book dead. I needed to complete a task with 1 friend so I joined some Facebook groups to add people, I ended up realizing that almost 90% of the people cheated, they use programs to see pokemon IVs and how they rank in every league before they catch it, they can teleport to anywhere they want with a 2 hours cool down, they catch perfect shiny legendaries, almost all latin America is doing this. I feel like I'm the only sucker playing legal in my city, this game punishes hard playing alone, what sucks even more is Niantic doing nothing to fix anything, probably I'm gonna quit.

Just been lagged in 3 matches before winning, at the begging I didn't pay attention thinking it's the app is buggy, but I started noticing a pattern between when I have advantage and all the sudden my mobile start lagging and I can't attack or the screen freeze. Even when I restart immediately I get that the match cannot be recovered, meaning I lost instantly... I started researching it and I noticed that it is actually hacks.. this is sad.. what kind of a looser who would cheat on a game like this?

Perfect takes on everything even the spoofing man , theres a line. When cheating gets you such an advantage that its no longer competitive for normal players its crazy. The gbl is full of cheaters there are whole discords for this stuff and theese people have made it impossible to climb past rank 15 without the perfect teams and a bad matchup.

That’s what they do and they farm candy that way and then trade those Pokémon to their main accounts. All of the big GBL streamers do this.

This has happened to me every season since I came back to the game. Lag and Wi-Fi always occur when I make my push. This season I’m not bothering with trying to climb anymore. Play if I like a team and keep trucking along. Thanks for great content and info PokeAK.

💯 I'm a Spoofer and it totally not fair if you just take over gyms and over power in Battle Leagues. This is why Spoofing has a bad name. Some folks can't get out and auto walkers shouldn't be frowned upon.

Getting Frozen only for the freeze to end when I only have one Pokemon left? Check. Opponent throws charge moves as soon as the battle starts? Check. Opponent knows I am using Hyper Beam and blocks it when they would have resisted any other move my pokemon could have? Check....

Just started playing. 1 1/2 months ago. While at low level. I was winning. As soon as i got to level 36. Loss after loss after loss. Even when i look up the right teams and moves for mynpokemon. They would always have the right counters. Its lame a.f. now. I just dont do battles anymore. Lag? I see it all the dame time.

So there’s definitely cheating but not to the degree that poke ak is saying. Ever since his “Heisenberg” team stopped working he hasnt hit legend and so is consumed with using these weird excuses like his account being on “hardmode” or cheaters being everywhere to explain away the fact that he hasnt been good enough to hit legend. Just know that if you put in the work you can hit legend. I hit it and im not great at battling. Dont let his wild excuses convince you that you also cant do it. You can.

Great topic. I barely battle but have noticed weird lagging. Cant wait to find out whether a V.P.N / Brand dependent? does actually work. Would the only way to find out be to get the cheating programs and experiment. ? Be fantastic to have a reverse engineered ap to shut down a tampered battle .

I only touch gyms and raids thats it i want to get into pvp but i don't have the correct ivs for the pokemons. Everytime i touch gbl it lags at this point shut it down niantic isn't even fixing it.

The best way to catch a cheater , is have them at a live at events and see how they play then and then have there phone scand for any cheat downloads.

I can't confirm anything. And I do not video my games. But I try to count moves and keep track of shields and I've personally seen out of control lag in odd moments. And I've seen a 3rd shield come out of nowhere. Or someone bring out a pokemon with no energy and throw 2 charge moves back to back when they didn't even use a fast move. It was fun. Lol. I just figure I'm never going to hit ace and live with it
