Awesome to see the improvements. I met Nadeshot back when he was still a competing call of duty professional and he's a super nice, genuine guy who strives to put out the best that he can. He's not the type to put out an "enthusiast-grade" keyboard and not improve upon its shortcomings in subsequent releases. Next step I see is potentially south facing switches and lubed stabs.

It’s because the thinner the foam or material, the more high end sound is absorbed. The more thicker foam or material, the more low end sound is absorbed and high end is reflected.

Any keyboard with a price range between 130-170 USD right now reminds me of the QK65 and Zoom65. I believe this Attack on Titan keyboard needs to be priced below 100 USD to compete with those two.

it's not going to be that cheap with just the ttc heart switching already being expensive on their own and it was a limited time drop that's already over. it's not worth it resale price (on ebay it's going from$160-250+) unless you really like attack on titan/100 thieves. And at that price you could get a qk65/zoom65 if you were interested in something more enthusiast oriented

The thing to note here is that this is not marketed towards enthusiasts. It's. Marketed for the general public while improving shortcomings that were highlighted by keyboard enthusiasts. People that will buy this board won't know about the QK65 or Zoom65. They won't care either.

The difference between those two is that the QK65 isn’t coming with key caps, stabs, and switches. You’ll be spending a lot more. You’ve also got to take into consideration that the keyboard hobby is a very niche hobby and building keyboards is even more of a niche.

I understand the hustle, whatever pays the rent, but please consider this advice, those people who watches their fav streamers endorsing "hype" keyboards like these and wants to get their first keyboard, before you lock in your money, do research first. Now I ain't stopping you to buy this but all I am asking is that you consider the money you're letting out vs the product you'll get. If you're just in for the official merch and novelty, by all means, but if you are just starting in the keyboard scene and wants to hop in, before you flip out your moolahs, DO A RESEARCH FIRST, you won't regret doing this.

$30-40 for the HYSSP, $10.49x7 for the key switches (10 per pack at 10.49), the keycap set was $60 when in stock. All in all, for the money, with the silicone inserts it is not bad value for money. Could you do it yourself with non-AOT branded caps for cheaper? sure, but the I guess the "value" comes from the silicone inserts and the better build quality. I am actually interested in trying to find one of these second hand, as I have outgrown my "clicky" keyboard phase and want a more thoccy experience, and for 165 that isnt a bad option

They should have gone with foam instead of silicon. Foam takes aways the higher pitched nioses without muting it. But overall great improvements. And if you just buy the keycaps I think it's actually a good deal if you are a fan of the show or the brand.
