Okay for real though, I think the scene at the beginning of the game when this plays might actually be my favourite moment in all of swsh. The vibe of the whole scene is genuinely so eerie and mysterious, and I wasn't expecting something like it right at the beginning of the game, and this theme encapsulates the feeling so well.

Also, since it’s a mellow song during a battle, I really only paid any mind to the howling parts, with those alone I got annoyed pretty fast. The fact that they didn’t reveal the Pokémon’s alternate forms in trailers was brilliant. When i saw hero zamazenta i legit thought it was a third legendary and theorized that it could be based off of a spear and when i saw zacian’s hero form I thought it could be based off of bows and arrows. Then at the end of the game where they revealed they were zamazenta and zacian i was all like “WAIT WHAT”. when they got their swords and shields i was all like “ooooh so that’s why they look different” I will never regret playing this game blind.

Conor 2401 if it had been delayed it could’ve been amazing. The pain of the national dex cull is not felt until you’ve captured about half of the 400 in the game. It’s at that point it really hits in the heart.

The sad thing about this game is that it CLEARLY had potential to be very good plot-wise, with charming characters and an interesting backstory for the dogs and the legendaries from the DLCs. But instead they rushed through everything, making the gameplay very straightforward and letting the actual story laying in the background until last minute

Marnie, Rose, and Oleana all could've used more development considering they were treated as important characters despite never being on screen and barely developing. As for the story, it would've been nice if it didn't take place entirely at the end of the game. I get some people liked the whole "leave this to the adults, you kids do your gym challenge!" But they couldve added like... power outages after some of the gym matches and Oleana and Rose appear to investigate them. They could've had us find out about how Rose found Eternatus and how this could help with the crisis, yet everyone telling him not to worry drives him to do it, Oleana feeding into this mentality. (also make the crisis in like 50 years instead of 1,000 lmaoooo). The story had potential to be amazing but it was just wasted.

Gosh as much as I like the proper theme, this one really sets the mood so well and leaves such an impression for the legendary wolves. I kind of wish this was the theme you heard when battling them to capture and leaving their more epic transformed theme for when you defeat Eternatus. Just love the atmosphere of this version, mysterious and foreboding.

i've been playing Pokemon since 2007 and have played every main-series game, and this battle genuinely caught me off guard. it was definitely one of my favourite and most memorable moments in any Pokemon game. i genuinely felt scared during the battle, because i didn't expect a fight with the legendary from the box art RIGHT AFTER i got my starter. i had no idea what was coming next and i didn't know what to do. it FELT powerful and mysterious and terrifying, instead of just the game telling you that it is. you don't stand a chance, and you know it. you feel completely at the mercy of this pokemon, and you feel lost and confused with the surrounding fog being a visual representation of that. it's honestly great.

Can I just say how much I love that Zacian and Zamazenta are both equally involved in the story, regardless of which game you’re playing like Reshiram and Zekrom? In most Pokémon games, the other legendary just kinda effs off and does their own thing, but in Sword and Shield- both wolves have a high impact on the story.

That reminds me of a SCP which is the ghost of a dog that guards the corpse of it's owner who is hanged on a tree, can't remember the exact number though, and the SCP itself is originated from a ghost story too. Edit: just found it, it's SCP-1111.
