FRRR my second favorite gen. Everything about Gen 7 still feels fresh today. If trial captains are counted as gym leaders, Nanu is basically the first Dark type gym leader. And it's likely for him to become a real one because you can see that there are lots of empty spaces around Alola, likely used to build gyms as there is a league now.

I feel Hala basically appeared as your mentor for as long as you were on Melemele Island. Pretty nice actually. I find it cute that Olivia handles her life the way she does...and the fact that Mallow's trying to get her to say her cooking's the greatest. Nanu...I'm certain I don't need to describe him since he pretty much has been throughout the comment section. Though, I'm sure he and Dimension W's Kyouma would hit it off. You thought you weren't going to see Hapu much but then you witness how Kahunas are chosen. I'd say Tapu Fini had good taste which is ironic because doesn't it loathe people? Interesting characters right down to the end.
