I attempted a Pokemon Platinum Hardcore Nuzlocke where each of my Pokemon is only allowed to have ONE MOVE.

The Hardcore Nuzlocke rules for this challenge:
1. Only catch the first Pokemon on each route. (Duplicates Clause: If my first encounter is a duplicate, I can re-roll)
2. If a Pokemon faints, it must be released.
3. No over-leveling above the gym leader's highest level.
4. No items in battle.
5. Play on Set Mode.
6. Pokemon must always have only one move.

By the 6th, it's Pixar characters. Crush was a big giveaway. At first I was thinking it might be Finding Nemo (or Dory I guess) specific, but after a few more I realized it couldn't be that, but rather Pixar characters in general

The moment you named Turtwig "Crush" I immediately thought that the theme was Nemo. Apparently it's just Pixar characters in general which I didn't recognize except for Bruce, but Turtwig being named "Crush" was certainly a neuron activation moment.

I agree that Golduck is underrated, I had a Golduck named Gobbo in my platinum hardcore nuzlocke and it came in clutch against Roark, Fantina, Barry in Hearthome Coty, and Candice, and was the only of the original six captures to make it to the Elite 4 and Champion

Though I would've made HM slaves to exempt from the one move only thing and not let em fight considering the amount of HMs in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum but that's just me but your solution was clever!

They're named after Pixar characters! I caught on after thinking about WHY the turtle was named Crush. After Crush form Finding Nemo! Kevin being the bird from Up, Bruce being the shark from Fidning Nemo, Alberto being from Luca. I definitely miss some of the reference, for example, I don't know what Hopper is named after, (probably A Bug's Life) and I'm guessing it's Onward for Manticore? Still, very good challenge!

Hey, great challenge! I was wondering how I could try this challenge for myself. Did you use pkhex to edit your team every time they learned a move? I was thinking I could edit the game to put a move deleter in every town but that's more complicated and I figured I'd see how you did it.

i had the same idea but instead of "i can only use one move of my choice" its "if i use a move i can only use THAT move only" for your case you cant tell crush to use absorb he can only use tackle. if you catch a pokemon of the same species it can use a different you want. and you can level up your pokemon for better use you don't have to pick right away only when you use the move its locked in.

You should try Dark Rising: Order Destroyed. It's a forced nuzlocke but you can't heal at the pokemon centre or catch pokemon. You'll also be severely underleveled for most of the fights.
