I don’t see anyone else talking about it but just to clarify: at 35:15, Illugus’s Trap damage doesn’t scale with your team size. It is an entry hazard which it can stack up to 5 times, analogous to the move Spikes in pokemon. Each layer of Trap deals 8 damage, so at max stacks, a beastie tagging in will lose 40 stamina. This is pretty strong, but can be countered with a play called Clear Field (think Defog). Additionally, each time Trap damage is triggered, it will lose a stack in the same way that caltrops dropped on the ground are removed from the area after someone steps on them. The problem is that Illugus’s ability allows it to passively set a layer of trap with each ball attack, so it is constantly refreshing the stack, keeping it maxed if you don’t do something about it. If you don’t swap, then trap damage is never relevant. But I agree, this fight can be quite hard during a blind playthrough. Great video btw! Go Freaky Nerds! 🐕🏐💥

Thank you for this that helps a ton, I can definitely see how this would be an easier fight if I had known how to prepare or what to do. But yes as a blind playthrough it was rough especially 4 hours in on one day. Can’t wait to play more and learn more about the game like this! Thank you !!!

@@benjjjjamin yeah, they're definitely some of the hardest fights in the game to win blind. tldr: your chances of winning are always improved by checking enemy's moves and damage estimates.
