A little Voltorb back story info: The Professor Program is a test given to judges at random during Pokémon tournaments. If they pass their pop quiz, they receive a copy of whatever promo is for that tournament. The unconfirmed guess-timate says theres around 100-120 copies of this card total. On top of this, there is a STAFF stamped Promo version of this Professor Program Voltorb which is guesstimated to only have 10-12 copies handed out. The Voltorb in question is a 151 print. If you want to say you have a TRUE masterset, the you need a copy of one of those cards. True collectors of 151 mastersets combined with the literal scarcity of the card is the driving price. They might as well have serialized them with how many ended up in circulation.

The Voltorb is because of people wanting to complete their 151 master set. For a full grand master set, you would need all variants of each card in the set and the promos. This Voltorb is a stamped variant of a card in the set.

people complain about print quality and pull rates but its actually a good thing, you want the cards you pull to be rare and hard to grade 10, that way when your card does grade 10 it actually has value and isnt watered down by a million psa 10s.
