I just got back about a month ago after not touching pokemon as a kid (I’m 32) I had my fun ripping a few booster boxes and ETBs but quickly realized instead of continuing to basically gamble on getting something cool, I’ve just been strictly buying PSA 10 versions of what I want. I still plan on buying poke center ETBs and picking up a few booster boxes for fun, but I’m not going to ride around town aimlessly buying random packs for the thrill lol I’m not investing either by purchasing PSA 10s, I just want the best version I can of that card so if something were to happen and I needed money I could resell quicker. Just buying what I think looks cool 😊

I’ve opened too many packs and haven’t pulled a chase since vivid voltage. I also sold any chase I ever pulled immediately so I’d have more money to buy more packs. But now my “collection” is pitiful and I feel bad buying more packs or cards because I’ve already put so much into it and have practically nothing to show for it
