Just getting back into collecting myself. My algorithm first showed me the “big channels” showing the guys opening dozens of expensive packs worth thousands of dollars. They were fine at first but they just began to feel a bit lifeless and felt weirdly like they are promoting gambling to children. Then I watched one of your videos and you instantly brought me back to my childhood by showing what this hobby is truely about. The joy you bring to these kids by gifting their favorite Pokémon will never fail to put a smile on my face! I just bought a huge binder of 1st/2nd gen Pokémon cards (not first edition but still nice) because of you and can’t wait to keep collecting and share the hobby with my daughter one day!
@Kino_pup4 ай бұрын
I don’t understand though. So he makes money from KZbin now, and has pretty much stopped making money from selling /trading. So he’s there for.. just content purposes?.. That seems like that’ll run out real quick. That makes me feel like the passion for the hobby will go away. It’s like all these other people that do their work while filming it for whatever job.. Now the job doesn’t make them money. The videos do.. So service that you offer to the world will slowly get worse because it isn’t really a necessity to you. The content is, and you can certainly start faking content easily. Most people do. It makes me really nervous when doctors and nurses stop being a doctor or nurse and start making videos.. those are vital jobs that we need for a society. And now they just up and quit?.. Making videos does farr less good for the world. They essentially take themself out of society and make money while not offering anything useful except for entertainment.. That’s what scares the sh*t out of me with all this. It’s insane that you can make dumb videos and make tons of money, but not really offer much back to society. More and more people are doing this by the day too. It’s getting weird.
@99TnaigEci24 ай бұрын
@@Kino_pup What a weird take. So everyone's sole purpose in life must be to dedicate themselves to society and be productive 24/7? Anything that isn't vital to life has no purpose? What's the difference in someones career path in entertainment via videos versus an athlete, a musician, an actor? They only entertain too right. I'm not sure what you propose everyone would do without entertainment, heck by your logic you yourself shouldn't be consuming any form of entertainment. Every hour of the day would consist of work, eat, sleep. Point is if there is a customer, including you and I, then someones has to create it. That's for anything. Anywho, I don't get the vibe Coop is in this solely for the money as you scheme. It looks like a passion and makes him happy, and we're thankful he's sharing this to inspire us at home. I'm not into any card collecting at all, but as an outsider to the hobby I'm impressed with Coops knowledge of his stock & ability to relate to his customers and friends. It's not something a faker would go to the extent to, to fake content AND passion. I don't think so anyway 🤷♂

@@Kino_pupwow that’s a lot of projection there. Who are you to tell people what they should enjoy or not? He gets to interact with many people, which he clearly enjoys. He gets to make a bunch of trades, which he clearly enjoys. He gets to make a bit of profit and complete his personal collections, all while putting smiles on faces and yes, creating content for his channel. Lighten up, buddy.

I know it's around the same area, all these events, but it's awesome to see the recurring characters/customers coming back for Coop. It just shows that sometimes it's the character and the person that keeps attracting people to a business, it's not that he has the "best" cards, or the "biggest" collection. Coop, for that small amount of time that is talking with you, makes you feel important, he listens to you and gives you reasons to keep doing this hobby because he genuinely enjoys it as well. I know he might be in the red whwn it comes to making money off of cards, but all these interactions and videos will lead, as we know from future videos, to greater success and it couldn't had happened to a more genuine and good person. Keep it up Coop, people like you deserve to be celebrated and deserve to be successful.

I’ve got a question business wise. Are you trying to lean more toward making revenue from content creation rather than profiting from card flipping? I can see you coming at this from that angle. I do understand you make sales, but I see you focusing heavily on creating great relationships with people which is far more important when you look at the big picture of life, which in turn makes for awesome content because we love to watch kindness. Oh and of course we love Pokémon lol.
