This music is definitely cool on its own, but what really makes this theme as powerful as it is must be the chanting of the audience. I love it because it makes Nascour seem all the more threatening when he has that kind of support.

Same I think it just gives it that colosseum feel when the big baddy shows up and you pretty much think your fucked before battle however that sense of despair then relays to joy after victory then relating to an upbeat battle which truly sets the "all or nothing" colosseum feel games lack nowadays.

So uh, Nascour was one of my first video game crushes, specifically because he scared the hell out of me and I couldn't tell if he was a man or a woman. This kind of character has been my Type ever since. Seriously, the terror that kid me felt when he approached and threatened me like that was an incredible experience... and then of course there was the lack of music in the battle itself which was also unnerving. I was terrified, but I was loving it. I've come back to the game recently, playing the Japanese version because I wanted to see how well I could navigate in a language I can only *kinda* read. And fell in love all over again. Now that I have expanded my horizons as a gamer (unlike kid me that stuck to Pokemon and Zelda) though... I realize that yes, Nascour does resemble a certain lovely Final Fantasy character. Two actually... he looks like a combination of Sephiroth and Jenova. I don't know if that was intended as a specific nod to the character that defined his entire archetype, or if they were just *using that archetype* that Sephiroth so defined. ...and yes. I am just as much a Sephiroth stan as I am a Nascour stan.

Damn, Nascour....the crowd seemingly shouting 'Kill' like that kinda makes me wonder...(and to be frank, I really would not be surprised if Nascour was the type to execute Cipher's enemies in front of a crowd. He really just lookd like that type of person to me.) Of course he doesn't since this is an E-Rated game, but just the idea...

OMG THE MEMORIES! I just can remember being scared because the previous 4 fights weakened my team up, and then this guy comes in with such a dark and badass theme and I'm like "S**t, I don't think this is gonna be easy." And it wasn't, but really, only hearing the crowd during the fight gave off a strange feeling. Suspense and disappointment at the same time...

Now that I hear this years after fighting him, Nascour's battle has no music for a very good reason. It's supposed to seem disconcerting, like you've reached the final battle, but something's telling you it's not quite the end. How could beating Nascour bring down Cipher anyway?

well, by then, I had figured out that a heck of a lot of nintendo RPGs has a secret boss, or at least one that you werent supposed to see coming, and a lot of them (especially pokemon games) will have a secret enemy after you beet what you think is the last boss (see: Champion Gary, pokemon Red/Blue)

Uh, no. Kira is two syllables, キ and ラ. The only way I can see that Jakira would possibly be a total of two syllables is if you have a completely different definition of a syllable. See that little ャ (ya) next to the ジ (ji)? while they're separate kana, together they form ジャ (ja). However, that does not mean that the same is true for キラ (kira). The kana キ (ki) and ラ (ra) are two separate syllables. These two both are full sized, so they are two separate syllables.

SBG Haseo I am working on a MIDI file for it. If you don't know what MIDI is, it's basically a digital file that you can use to edit songs.
