Phenac was obviously based on Phoenix. The designers have said that Orre was based on Arizona, and the story of how water was brought to Phenac is very similar to how it was brought to Phoenix.

Not a fan of Ghost Type Pokémon anyway. Most of the ghost type moves are weak except for Night Shade and put Pokémon to sleep and use dream eater, depends if you play the new ones, getting new ghost moves as you go onwards.

I remember, years ago, when my older brother hogged the game ALL the time, when he left for something, I would sneak on, try to find my back to this town, and try to chase the floating Pokemon, block its path, relax to the music, and lose the girl. (to no avail.) But most of the time, I didn't get much further than finding the exit to the towns... :( Ahhh... I miss it so much! Please make a third game, Nintendo! O=...or an anime is OK, too!

"EarthBound" was about six years old when they put the Onett and Fourside stages in Melee. Colosseum isn't much older than that. While age isn't an issue, I think obscurity is. Colosseum was fairly well received at the time it was released (especially compared to most past console Pokemon games), but it's not that widely recognized today. Besides, the Pokemon series as a whole is already represented in SSB by much better known characters and places. Either way, probably no Phenac.

pokeballs affect your battle initiation range and can change terrain, you can move pokemon between balls during prepareration stage; dusk ball makes it night, boost to all dark/ghost types, ultra gives you 3 square range initiative/ pokeball 1 square. having quick ball in front lets you counter enemy initiation bonuses/skills that rely on intiating battles to work. you'll be managing all this to win, you have multiple teams at your disposal, you have to pick who does what with what, when.

a strategic pokemon game where you manage your team and the former cipher leaders teams, via catching wild pokemon, train on MT battle or during missions. mission are in the form of town defense/seige, during the first wave your on the seige side, and secound half your on the defensive side as you try to hold your towns against the new threat. movement will be turn base, and there will be advantages and skills, like attacking first/terrain/raised defense for first turn...ect.

a new organization arrives in orre, bringing with them pokemon from many different lands. using ciphers shadow pokemon research they begin a violent invasion of orre. working together with the old leaders of cipher, you fend off the first wave and drive the new threat underground, only to find all the wild pokemon have become shadow pokemon under the influence of the shadow legendary pokemons. you must catch the legends to stop the spread of shadow pokemon and papare for the second assualt.

about movement being turn base, that's just inside towns/during missions. you operate from the world map and chose what to do/ where to deploy people. the dugeons/wilds where you catch the wild shadow pokemon and legendary shadows are free roam. the third phase of the game will have a giant city tower rise from the orre underground that you must conquer to stop the new threat once and for all. a battle that by the end of which will have changed the very landscape of orre. post game exploration.

I like the music a lot these games, but listening to them for to long gave me a headache....Since all Shadow Pokemon were stuck with Shadow Rush, which wasn't a very good attack, battles would last forever. Hearing the music loop after 1o minutes of "Ledyba used Shadow Rush!" got annoying......Which is why I prefer Gale of Darkness over Colosseum.

you will have to make use of your trainer skills, like one where your pokemon gain defense stats boost when the enemy initiates a battle on you or boost attack vs preevolution pokemon when you initiate battles. you can equip only one skill and get more slots by using items that last for one mission, or expensive equipment(effect last until taken off). there will be time in between missions where you can scout, catch pokemon, train, interact with characters...ect. got anything else to add?

The spinoff titles of the last few years have sucked. We need a new Orre game. Bad. They would have to mix it up a bit to keep it interesting. Cipher emerging for a 3rd time would be a bit unbelievable, so maybe some other evil organization should come along. It would probably also be a good idea to reinvent the Shadow Pokemon concept. Maybe they could have different kinds of Shadows that require different means of purification, and explain how their hearts are closed in the first place.

I was too pissed over the National Dex thing (not so much that it wasn’t there, but that they lied about why), and I’ve been on a leave of absence of sorts with work for most of this year, so money’s been tight. I’m a Grub Hub driver. At a time when I should be making money hand over fist, I can’t work because I need a new vehicle. It’d be hilarious if it weren’t frustrating. I just graduated college (which makes me sound a lot younger than I am, but I digress) and Christmas is coming up, we’ll see if I get a little help from relatives. As for whether or not they’ll ever make a game as good as this pair again, I don’t know. Again, the new PS game and the Shadow Pokemon cameo in Pogo came the hell out of nowhere. Who knows? I’d like to believe that Game Freak wants to make quality games that people want (like a new Orre game, something that some of us have been demanding for over a decade now), but S&S sales have proven that people will tolerate blatant lies and a reportedly mediocre game if it has “Pokemon” written on it. On the other hand, if they managed to get Genius Sonority on board and decided to take the risk on a new Orre game, maybe they would put more effort into it. It wouldn’t be a main series game guaranteed to sell millions of copies, they would need to try harder to see a return on the investment. The fans would also be expecting a lot from it. That could be the reason that they’ve been dragging their feet on the Gen IV remake for so long: people really liked that generation, and so they want to get it right.
