I mean the main reason Guzma is an asshole is because he was abused by his dad. It's actually really sad. When speaking to his dad on route 2 you can tell by his words that we was abusive to guzma. Not even mentioning the bent and broken golf clubs - clearly an angry man. Angrier than this. So uh. Yeah. Not great representation.

i dont think thats the reason that in the game it said that they were broken and bent cuz when you talk to his dad he said he beat Guzma up so thats maby the reason?????? idk

Well even if his dad didn't beat him with the golf clubs, he's probably the one who broke them. Guzma's dad is clearly an angry man in the game. This isn't great representation of him really.
