Researcher Grizz here. I'm glad he swung by the biker bar. That was one of my ideas that made it in. It's just a fun little side area that I thought fit really well into Kanto. When you get down to Fuchsia, make sure to check out the revamped Safari Zone. I feel like a lot of people really didn't like the Safari Zone mechanics, and apparently Shock agrees because the Bait/Rock system is replaced by regular battles. There's also another special trainer to be found in the Safari Zone if you look hard enough... Keep having fun!

Ey there, so I went out there to look for the most recent version of the game, turns out there are four of them. What is the difference between 'Standard 1_0, Standard 1_1, ColorFilter 1_0 and ColoFilter 1_1?

So I wasn't sure what that was about and downloaded all the four version s-But if I am not 'updating' an older version which one of those am I supposed to go for? Like I have a clean crystal here, out of those 4 which one am I supposed to apply on the rom? Edit: NOW I understand what you mean by '1.1 Crystal', just noticed mine is indeed 1.1 or at least has on the name.

I think that Omanyte having a Bitter Berry could be a reference to how Pokemon caught in the Gen 1 games actually come with a held item when traded to Gen 2 based on a particular value that is set upon obtaining them; evolving won't change the item and there are other details on Bulbapedia; it blew my mind when I traded between Gen 1 and 2 and saw that they had items. Pokemon Stadium even makes use of that weirdness to give them a special item you can't normally get in Gen 2 games or something like that.

I recommend a short johto detour as there’s a mini sidequest that is found near cherry grove (there’s a hidden entrance to a new area which is your levels) and doing it rewards you with a replacement for cut

You can fly anywhere in the game without the need to visit it first. Surf is optional to get to cinnabar island

You can go back to the gyms, talk to the pillars near the exit and then rematch the gym anytime with any set it's perfect if you need to grind for the levels or poke dollars ofc after you have won the gym.

Scykoh, you can get EXP shares for 1000 tokens at the casinos. You'll easily get those from playing the Voltorb minigame.

rock slide isn't that good for omanyte because it's a physical attack, and omanyte is more a special attacker. also remember Dark is special. so Bite on omanyte might do more damage than Rock slide

You can take the train from saffron to Golden rod since you have two badges so easy travel between Johto and Kanto

With Fly you can travel to literally any city now, both Kanto and Johto, maybe you can mix different gyms you battle?

You need to go back to cinnabar and go where you got the upgrade card and actually look at the computer screen. Theres a nice upgrade for the pokedex that might come in handy for you

also if you end up getting surf go to new cinnabar and go in the tunnel and find the old mansion theres some higher level pokemon to grind off of in the lower levels of the mansion... and plenty of useful items

I would play it safe and go do the flying Gym in Johto, these pokemon are above level 30 originally and you have 3 badges ...

There is not a website where you can officially download the game, but on shockslayer.com you can find the link to the creator's discord server, where you can get the latest version as soon as it comes out. Shockslayer doesn't endorse unofficial downloads of the game so you better not do that
