Important tip: Big tip for those who wants to collect those held items from wild pokemons. Add and make Nincada the lead of your party. Its ability Compound Eyes increase the chance of having wild pokemons hold an item. Way better if you faint the Nincada so the second pokemon that has thief tm set up comes out right away. Doesn't matter if the Nincada is alive or fainted, just make it lead your party.

Compound Eyes raises the ability-bearer's accuracy by 30%.

@@_NguyenLamPhiVu there's some ability that has some field effects. Like stench and intimidate halves the encounter rate of wild mons if the leading party has that ability. Arena trap, hustle and pressure increases the encounter rate of wild mons. Same with suction cups but it's on fishing. Static and magnet pull also does it but with their corresponding type. Flame body and magma armors halves the base steps needed to hatch an egg. Honey gather occassionally picks honeys after battle and pickup also does this but you only need to stroll around for a while and you'll sometimes get random items if the mons that has this ability isn't equipping any items. And lastly compound eyes which i already explained. There's more of these abilities which i won't be covering all bcs some has the same effects just different terms. Not all abilities functions on battle only, there's some pretty neat abilities that can help you in your journey, you can search it up yourself.

Quit your bellyachin' , in FR/LG only wild Dragonair has a 5% chance to hold Dragon Fang. Dragonair is a 1% encounter rate in SAFARI ZONE while fishing with SUPER ROD. At least in RSE it's guaranteed and REPEATABLE once you know how and meet the requirements.

You need try more. Compound Eyes also help you much. If a pokemon with the Ability is in the first place in the party even if fainted, the chance of finding an item from wild pokemon increases by 50%.

First you go and fight him normally, then he registers your phone automatically. After that you simply RUN around in the same cave area because there's apparently 31% chance to trigger his battle request every 255 steps taken in the same area. Shelgon appears after 4th time battling him. Same with BlackBelt guy in route 115 and the Bug Maniac guy in route 120. It's insane...

Getting twisted spoon is one of the hardest things to do in game, just a heads up abra in Pokémon ruby and saphire can only be found in Granite Cave and it only has a 10% chance of being found, even then only 5% of abras can be found holding the twisted spoon item. Which means the chance of you finding an abra wit a stealable spoon only 0.05% ......

I don't remember. Most probably forgot to use thief. I'm not sure if there is a way you can know if the pokemon have item in Gen 3. Anyway if you realized I have fainted pokemon in lead which has ability called Compound Eyes. It increases the chance to holding item for wild pokemon. Its gonna make your farming easy.

It's an item introduced in Gen2, it's held by Wild Chansey, it either boosts experience gain by 1.5, or straight up doubles it. In Generation 3, you can only get it in FireRed or LeafGreen's Safari Zone. Either 1% or 5% chance to find Chansey depending on Safari Zone area, and only 5% chance for one of them to hold it. So its like, 5% of 5% AT BEST!

It is not different. At predetermined times of the day, every six hours, the tides rise or fall. If you want to explore low tide, you have to enter shoal cave in differnt hours until you find it.

You need to fight them again and again until they upgrade their team. I believe they upgrade their team couple times but not sure what trigger it because I fight them after elite four. So maybe you need to beat game or have certain number of badge.

First you need to play the game up to 5th badge (Balance Badge), then you need to fight those trainers for the first time (BlackBelt Nob, Dragon Tamer Nicolas, Bug Maniac Brandon). After the first time, you go to the area/route they are in, and just run around. They have a 31% chance to trigger battle request for every 255 step taken in the same area. You have to upgrade their team 4 times by repeating this so their item holding pokémon (Machamp, Shelgon, Masquerain) appears.

Trainer calls you randomly but you can increase this chance by leading pokemon with lightning Rod ability in Emerald. Shoal cave changes low to high and vice versa every six hours so just try until you find low tide.

I already have Steelix and I think it works at the original Pokemon Emerald..Because I also have an Steelix in FireRed using an Metal Coat..Btw I am playing a Rom Hack version of Pokémon Emerald,not the original Pokemon Emerald.And I really thought that the evolving process of Onix to Steelix is the same.But in the rom hack you need an Link Cable to make Onix evolve into Steelix...
