When the game lags out on catching Pokemon, close out the app, turn on airplane mode. Then, load the app back up and wait for it to say no internet connection then turn airplane mode off. You will then see in your recent that your Pokemon was caught and in your bag! It works every time. Like so people and Ali can see!

You're wrong about the CP potential. When the CP bar maxes out, that means it's maxed out for your Trainer Level. When you level up the bar goes back a bit so you can power it up again. She is probably a few levels lower than you are. That's why the bar is further up with lower CP.

Niantic needs to fix this issue which is somewhat game breaking. While leveling up Pokemon become harder and harder to capture, even the so called "fodder" Pokemon like pidgeys and weedles. I'm tired of wasting 3-4 pokéballs and having them either escape or me just giving up. Like most people that have experienced the issue of running low on pokéballs it's hard to regain pokéballs just by camping pokestops. Which makes players resort in buying pokéballs. Hopefully the increase the capture percent for "fodder" Pokemon because I'm tired of just wasting pokéballs on pidgeys and weedles. And not to mention the 3 step glitch.
