I remember in the bear market of 2022 that FS BBs were going for as low as $80. Everyone was screaming to stay away. "It is not a strong set compared to ES; someone stole all of the hits from the factory line; it is overprinted and everywhere; 10 billion cards!!" etc, all of the same excuses not to buy. I've been investing since Darkness Ablaze and went heavy into FS because Gengar is my favorite Pokemon and Espeon is my favorite eevolution (so it was a no-brainer for me). For the last couple years I've been dissapointed that I only bought 1 Evolving Skies BB and spent way too much on FS instead of ES. Man it feels good to do a little catchin up!

Card prices for fusion strike have skyrocketed. Make sure and check the card prices regularly. There are multiple cards in the set one is worth $500 one is worth $300 one is worth 100. And the list goes on. With lost origin the biggest card is the Giratina V. The next card under it is not worth anywhere near as much. Only $100 for the Aerodactyl, then the prices drop off rapidly for all following cards. Makes all the difference in overall booster box prices.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but the last take about people not wanting to spend money for cards they like I can resonate with. This hobby is expensive, but seeing cards only a few years old with 4 figure price tags and now it seems almost every chase card will be there I think takes a lot of people out of collecting. I find it incredibly hard to collect at this rate. Everyone’s situation is different but I don’t think it’s fair to just say something like ; collect something else if you can’t afford the one you want. The reason those chase cards are chase cards is bc the pokemon are people’s favorites and the artworks are awesome. You can’t expect people to just change who their favorite pokemon and collect Mask Ogrepons and Meowscaradas

Evolving skies was never cheap. Was the most meta defining set. Everyone buying playsets of umbreon vmax because the card was in a tier 0 deck. All the Alts were 100$+ the box's were never under 200. Because the EV was to high in the set. Also it came out during COVID. They mass printed over every set after COVID in that block except they set. That's the only reason why evolving skies is the price it is.

Booster Boxes are the collectible. They are not soley valued on price per pack or even cards inside the set. Overtime they are the chase for sealed collectors as they become more scarce.

This is the most textbook case of the "euphoria phase" ive ever seen. sports cards did this in 21 and 23 and look at it now. Pokemon is running because all the scalpers from football and basketball have shifted to pokemon. But pokemon sees this, and dont think they wont print more and more. 151 is a prime example.

Someone suggesting Fusion Strike, or any other product that has risen significantly will crash isn't "lying" to you. They're making an informed suggestion on what they believe will happen, based on the current conditions. Also, it's all relative; If I had 100 boxes of FS bought at $100 each, fk yeah I'm selling it. Not ALL of it, but definitely some. That's money that can be put elsewhere, which brings me to my next point. Alex, if you were personally so confident in the Umbreon VMAX, why were you selling yours at $1000? (or whatever it was). Wasn't this about a year ago too? The very time period you referenced that it saw a boom. You could have doubled your money by holding! You got your gains and exited, which is exactly what you're telling us to NOT do. Do you see the contradiction? Yes, I have no idea where this run ends, but there are a lot of Ifs and speculation associated to your market hypotheticals.

It’s still so undervalued. The 2nd best main set in SWSH, the true value should be 60-65% of whatever evolving skies is worth. Right now around 600 is a fair price for FS IMO. I have 165 boxes, most at msrp and I’m still slowly buying on the secondary market for as much as £250 which is still a steal. Once ES boxes are 2k these will be 1200 give or take a few dollars/pounds.

11:40, he’s spitting SUPER facts honestly. I just went and added every IR & SIR I want to my cart and saved for later everyrhing that was above the $10 mark. I was surprised how I’m only truly waiting for a deal on like 5 ish cards maybe less, assuming I went to cop em all right now. I bought 5 cards last night just and again, only bought the ones that were sub-$10 PLUS the ninetales from Obsidian Flames - spent like $40 collectively on NM only copies. Feels like people who claim the market is in a really bad bull rush are only looking at very specific boxes and cards. And while the ninetales wasn’t $20/$25 a month ago most likely, I don’t mind paying maybe $20 for a nice SIR of a classic Mon, maybe that’s just me though.

To add to this - alt arts and SIRs are just special, rare versions of regular cards. The regular ex/v cards are there for playability or cheap collecting. The whole point of alt arts is they are difficult to obtain from opening packs and are therefore highly collectable and more expensive. It's really not too difficult to grasp.

I didnt believe in fusion strike enough, comming off the tail of celebrations and with evolving skies stealing the spotlight. When booster boxes were 89$, it still seemed too far off from what it should be, with the price of gengar and espeon, so i bought 4 sealed cases of 16 checklane blisters from anderson authentics for 40$ each. The blisters were cheaper cost per blister than it was for cost per pack in the booster box, even at 89$. Those have done well, but I learned my lesson. A year or two later the value of BBs as a collectible really started to show its potential when evolving started pulling away from the sleeved packs and etbs and got close to 200, but i was a little late on it. Ahh well, lessons learned.

who ever hasnt learned by now that what u say is 100% FACTS then cry when it happens is because they dont have the money to invest or too scared to invest....either way they know ur the only one speaking what the future holds.....and i truly belive the S&S and S&V ERA will surpass the S&M or most X&Y era prices too good of sets
