Pokemon: Lance VS Iris

This is a remastered version of one of my older videos.
Original description:
I started working on this battle a while ago, thinking it will be an interesting dragon VS dragon-matchup, but stopped when I realised that the battle is pretty onesided. It really surprised me to see that Lance doesn't stand a chance against Iris, since her pokemon are higher leveled and always have a super effective move against Lances pokemon, letting her one-shot almost everything. Her Lapras is especially deadly for Lance, since he doesn't have anything super effective against it, while it knows Blizzard and Hydro Pump. Here he got lucky with the Lapras, but he still doesn't stand too much of a chance, sadly.

At least Lance didn’t battle Challenge mode Iris, that would’ve been much worse for him...

As a result of my experiment, even Red could not beat Challenge Mode Iris.

Yeah, he doesn't really stand a chance against Iris. I recorded this battle mutliple times and this was actually as close as he could get to winning, normally her Lapras just one-shots everything with Blizzard and Hydro Pump, while Lance can barely touch it (since he has nothing super-effective against it).

People say always Iris is so week and Lance is one of the strongest Champs. And look at this. He had his Power up and loose regardless. And his old Team had maybe not so much weekness, but much lower Speed because of the 3 slow Dragonites.

Are you guys srs? He pretty much almost swept her team with one dragon pokemon? lol.... and Its so unfair because in HGSS and below trainers pokemon did not hold any items to assist them in battle, but with iris that is not the case because in 5th gen! gym leaders and elite four members had items. This is so unfair. If lance had items on his pokemon it would not go this way.

I think Alder is the most used battler on your channel... Do you know a character he could fight on par with?

Hmm, he already fought all of the other champions (kinda). Maybe it would be interesting to see him fight with other Elite 4-members or rivals? Especially "Cheren VS Alder" seems interesting to me personally.

Ya I just want to see the guy win again and yes that would be cool But first of the E4 he should fight should be Marshal as in the Memory Link he fought him before he fought iris

Real shit, Lance can defeat Iris no problem. Using simulations like this isn't any way to even be taken seriously specifically since each game is geared to a different possible level for the challenger. The game is calculated about how much can someone level up their pokemon and accordingly level them up. It is flat out stupid.

When I watch your videos I always assume who the winner is according to the theme but I was totally wrong. Since lances theme played twice I figured he would win but at the last moment iris theme started! Anyways nice Battle.

Giovanni would easily win I guess. 6 vs 5, higher levels (Cyrus max is 48 while Giovanni lowest is 50) and most of Cyrus mons are weak against electric moves

Something different you can try: Any 8th gym leader fight against each other, like Giovanni vs Claire, or Claire vs Wallace/Juan etc.

Marshal vs Alder Because before iris challenged Alder he battled Marshal Also do you think Alder's PWT team would've made him MUCH more challenging?

Huh, I didn't even know that. The more you know. And, yeah, that team might be stronger, but it doesn't feel like Alders team imo since it got rid of all his bug-pokemon, which are kinda a signature of him.
