This game will most likely take place in the past because the urban redevelopment of Lumiose City that we know will be happening is based off the urban redevelopment of Paris from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. It will definitely be around the time Legends Arceus took place, so we can expect to see some characters from that game. Actually, one of the more popular theories I've heard is about a character from a side quest that could be an important character to the story of Legends Z-A. I don't remember his name, but his side quest is us having a battle against him and his Lucario. Lucario is said to have been the first ever mega evolution, so there's a chance that this guy and his Lucario could end up being the duo to create the first mega evolution, which would also make him the ancestor of Korrina and her grandfather. I know they don't really look like each other, but that doesn't mean that they aren't related. Don't have to look like someone to be blood related, after all.

Since Its been Years Since XY it would be great to get a HD reveal port of XY in the Pokémon Present Direct however The lack of 3ds ports so far means its very unlikely

There is plenty of ways we could get descendants of characters we know no matter when the game takes place. Also AZ is immortal so him being in the game is highly likely heck it wouldn’t surprise me if his brother is named ZA. Also with AZ being immortal it wouldn’t surprise me he had kids at some point or multiple points in time like Trevor has orange hair like Lysander and a flabebe that he evolves all the way up to florgess. They could easily get kids or grandkids to adults like they did with clay if its in the present like sycamore has a kid bio or adopt or Ramos has a grandkid etc. If we get outside characters lance or Clair could have kids.

Ingo came from a time-space distortion. It makes sense as there is direct access to Unova that way. If they come via that route, they must lose their memories, where as summoned people do not. The Luminous redevelopment could unearth rare Mega stones that were not present in XY due to being only one of each stone, buried with an explanation as to who the original Megas were. Megas are harder to make Nobel bosses, as the Mega Stones usually need a human to activate it unless they have a different activation method, like a move. It would make sense for such tombs or chambers to have a guardian, with the immortal trainers to the original Mega Pokemon guarding the powerful stones. AZ helps you research the chambers and unlock the boss battle for the ultra rare Mega Stones. Soup.

Emmet is definitely a (soup-er) fan favourite to appear. I'd love for Volo to appear too, especially since he mentioned "I won't give up, even if it takes centuries" and the main immortal human we know is AZ, and even Lysandre was implied to get immortality at the end of X. So Volo could certainly make an appearance here while searching for a way to achieve eternal life.

Bro, this game is not a sequel because the first legends game took place in generation four and this game is taking place in generation six

I'm pretty sure that it will be a sequel because the timeline seems to match up perfectly. And saying that the Generations they're from are the reason Legends Z-A isn't a sequel to Legends Arceus is just lazy.
