Why couldn't Darren Dunstan voice Giovanni in other Pokémon properties? He brings something to the role that other actors never could, and I feel like Giovanni would have been 100% more memorable and badass if Darren Dunstan had played him. Granted, his voice doesn't exactly match with Giovanni's appearance, but they could've easily changed that.

Hey...B from Portugal here. Very much like Spain and Spanish-speaking american countries, every cartoon was dubbed to our native language - they still have this annoying habit. Come on, kids would be learning something while watching cartoons...Take it from someone who learnt English by watching old Cartoon Network (nowadays, Cartoon Network here only has dubbed versions) and by playing Pokémon old games. I was so used to Portuguese dubbing actors. I don't know what anime they (Portuguese distribution team for the Pokémon episodes) inspired but I remember vividly Giovanni being voiced by a deeper, kind of between baritone and bass guy. Although I do remember they actually used James's voicing actor to play Pegasus. Which is even funnier...So...a couple of two years ago I watched a Yu-Gi-Oh marathon of all the seasons, and I was taken back. Does this guy actually voices Giovanni in the remaining seasons of Pokémon or is he always voiced by different people? That would be interesting.

It fits several bosses besides ol' Gio really XD. Cyrus, Ghetsis, some parts kind of make me think Lysandre too (beginning at 3:43, mainly). Only replace TR with TP/TG/TF and Mewtwo/Pikachu with whatever Pokémon they're after. :)
