This soundtrack was my childhood. I found this when I was 10 while surfing other Pokémon music and fell in love with it. I started acting because this inspired me to try it. Now I am 18 and just got accepted to college and I still call this my favorite musical sound track of all time. Some say Hamilton, some say Dear Evan Hansen. I SAY POKÉMON LIVE!!!!

I love love love this soundtrack. I play it on my phone, put on headphones, and I can do anything. Clean my entire house (I did it once, not kidding), do college homework, you name it, I get it done listening to this soundtrack. I discovered it about 4 months ago and keep coming back here! I heard some of the songs before on Kareokemon/Pikachu's jukebox, but I like the LIVE versions better. :)

Who says 4kids sucks, man they really did justice this series they knew what they where doing for the show and the musical only if this genration or mine could experience but since 4kids doesn't have the rights anymore and is 4kids is no longer a thing we will never see the proffesinal shooting or will never be redone well at least as big as it was mainly because of 4 kids main I miss those tear jerking and emotional episodes

4kids had some issues, and I don't agree with all of their decisions, but I do feel that their dubbing was at the very least...passionate. Lots of dubs these days never even get the songs translated, and while I like the Japanese songs too, an English song can also be fun in its own way. It's songs like this that make me appreciate the work 4kids put into the show.

I was supposed to go see it when it was in town. I got tickets for my birthday...i ended up at a funeral instead. The tickets were given away with the promise to see it when it came back, and a pre-order slip for the DVD release. .... It's been 21years. I've seen, and worked many musicals since then, but this is the one I tell people I want to see live the most.

Pokémon Live! was s musical stage show that toured the United States on September 22, 2000 to January 19, 2001. The musical was based on the Pokémon anime series, using similar characters, clothing, and story elements. The snow uses songs previously released on the Pokémon anime soundtracks Pokémon 2AB Master and Totally Pokémon as well as original songs. Approximately 90 minutes in length, it told the story of Ash Ketchum, Misty and Brock this buddy friend Pikachu as they travel to a contest to win the much sought-after Diamond Badge. The event turns out to be part of a two villains plan by the evil organization Team Rocket Jessie, James and Meowth and it’s diabolic leader Giovanni to take over the world powerful in under control Mewtwo.

That show was cheesy but still pretty cool. My god I was so young when I saw it and I literally begged and pleaded with my parents to see it. It was the one time I actually got them to let me go see something cool of my choice. At one point when Team Rocket came on stage, I felt bad b/c they were booed. I guess that's what you have to expect when playing a villian though. lol :D

Then, in College, I will major in buisness and writing. After that, I'll go to the Pokemon USA and try to be either a storyboard writer or a voice actress. 4kids lost the dubbing rights after season 8 to Pokémon USA back in 2006, which is why all the voice actors changed. this is also when i stopped watching, because the new voice actors were just horrible. they sound extremely forced and put no real emotion into the characters like the original cast did, which is what brought the show to life. it's still like that, and i'm amazed they still haven't realized the horrible mistake they made.

shadic4566 I'm pretty sure the intent of 4Kids was to make Gio the father, just like it was their intent to have Misty develop feelings for Ash. The line in EP02 about his father having reached Viridian is left ambiguous enough in English that it can be interpreted as 'he settled in Viridian'. It's similar to Digimon's dub, where writer Jeff Nimoy changed the coupling of Matt/Sora to Tai/Sora because he didn't pick up on subtle Matt/Sora scenes and preferred the Tai coupling. These ideas eventually fell to the wayside though, because there's no animation to accommodate them, and to continue bringing them up would've caused further continuity issues.

I remember most of the first season. i have the whole thing on VHS. idk i remember a lot of people loving gary. he even had fangirls in the show xD but just the fact that he's gone. you can create a counterpart for a main character then get rid of them. its like DBZ without vegeta o3o thats the closest thing i can relate it to right now xD

@angelcatastrophe If I remember, there were only going to be about 65 episodes of Pokemon at first, but then when it became a worldwide phenomenon they realized that they needed the show to last as long as possible. Because of this, they dumbed down all the characters and simplified the plots so that they could pump out nearly identical episodes every week until the universe caves in on itself.
