Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Memories of You (remix)

My second GarageBand remix of another favourite theme from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time/Darkness/Explorers of Sky. If memory serves me correctly, the OST plays as your partner returns home to inform the Guild of what had taken place at Temporal Tower.
Again, this was painstakingly transcribed by ear (I really need to find more efficient means of transciption...). The recent installment of new midi instruments meant that I could go for a more orchestral 'feel', hence this.

Everyone always seems to remix I Don't Want to Say Goodbye, but this track will always be my favorite of the bunch. When I first played, this track is the one that finally made me break down as I remembered my adventures through the game so far. It sticks out in my head much more than other tracks.

I have always loved this game. Not because of the game itself. But the story! It shows the undying friendship between you and you're partner. It teaches children that true friendships go beyond time and space, life and death. And how the journey cannot compare to the bond that grows between those involved in the adventure.

For my first playthrough of EoS, I was a Charmander, and my partner was a Pikachu. "Best feels experience I ever had." Just seeing my partner Pikachu cry at the end, also made me cry. At first, I didn't think that Charmander wouldn't come back and just left Pikachu there by himself. Poor Pikachu... ;-; I cried a lot not knowing that Charmander would come back. I felt so many feels. (Btw, I was 16 years old at that time and yes I did cry like a total baby and I ain't afraid to admit it! o:< ) Anyways, when I found out after the credits that Charmander came back to be there by Pikachu's side, it made me cry even more than I did before. But this 'feeling' that I felt. It wasn't sadness. It was joy. It was friendship. Coming back and being able to be there for my partner by his side. To tell him that it's okay. That everything is fine. To tell him that I said I'd never forget him, even when I disappear. I will never forget those memories of playing EoS for the first time. :') Oh ye btw this was about a year ago when I had my first playthrough. ;P Still play it every once in awhile to this day! c';

(listen to song while reading for full effect XD, also spoiler) this is why PMD Explorers was a great trio, now one might argue that its just like the rest, that all it is is a dungeon crawler. that it has been redone over and over. although at face value that might be the case. to us it isn't, those who completed sky darkness and time could tell you its not like the other mystery dungeons. and they would all share the same thought, it grew you very close to your partner. the other installments might make you like your partner but this one was the most well done. and at the end when they took you away from your friend... even if you didn't cry like i did and most others you at least felt something when he/she was gone, you ended up feeling some sense of loneliness. no other mystery dungeon has replicated this feeling and in my eyes if a game can make you feel like your partner is some sort of best friend or family to ya. it ends up being a great game in my eyes and will always have replay value. bye alex the eevee you will always have a place in my heart

Interesting use of tuplets on the piano at 2:15. Even for those with less discerning ears, it still provides a sense of increasing motion, which I believe is what you were aiming for. I also like the guitar and glokenspiel duet near the beginning - very good choice.

I completed Sky for the first time as Riolou and my partner a Phanpy. I still haven't restarted it to this day, the file is more than 4 years old I believe

My first run through was a Charmander and a Shinx. Believe it or not, I had no clue on what a Charmander was. I was only familiar with Sinnoh Pokemon back then since I only played the beginning of Diamond. PMD helped me learn about Pokemon types and all. Now, I commonly use Eevee and Vupix. Go! Team Dasher!

It's ok, some people like you and I don't cry a lot. One or two things in media has only made me wet the old eyes, but I do get sad lol. PMD has some of the best storytelling in gaming, and the music conveys emotions well.

When they tried to go for a full 3D setting they were only able to have models for a lesser amount of Pokemon then the previous PMDs (That is also the reason why there are only 69 new Pokemon in X and Y), also no legendary recruiting.
