Dude, it doesn't matter that it was a mega Pokémon or not, Zapdos isn't as bulky as you think, and certainely not as bulky, at least about SPD than a Volcarona who is almost max SPD, who used one Quiver Dance and who is also under the shield of Light Barrier who halve any special attack by 2, meaning Thunderbolth, basically had 45 base power, and since when Bug is weak to Electrik ? it's only Flying and Water who are weak to that type, Bug is neutral to, same for Fire ! In terms of compete, my situation is way more unreal and embarassing than this one.

It's possible electivire if given the proper move set and nature it can be a dangerous pokemon if you let it on the field for too long make sure you have a pokemon that out speed it and a super effective move. Also all the legendarys execpet for maybe landours and zapdos (but electivire has access to ice punch which is 4 times super effective against landrous and fucks zapdos hard since zapdos is a special def tank) have shit physical def as electivire has high physical att so in other words electivire alone can wipe out all of tobis team so yeah Gary fucking oak wins by a land slide
